Thank you for the new thread, @elsiepac. Count me “in”. I’m not sure yet what my budget will be, because I know we’ll have quite a bit of money left from February’s GC. Payday is Monday, so our month will run from the 1st to the 31st.

Had to pop into town today and ended up spending more than I planned due to OH and DD being with me! Still not sure when the meat and veg box is being delivered but shouldn't need anything else until then!

Well a huge restock happened today, across the 2 cheaper supermarkets and then the branded items and whole foods from Mr Ts.As expected these shops have been huge hits to the budget already (and I feel like it’s a long month!) but they were all really necessary.Freezer is loaded, including fake away items in the hope of not using all of the separate budget for that this month, maybe I should deduct the costs of the items as I wouldn’t otherwise buy them? Hmm I’ll think on that one
Cupboard and larder stores all replaced. Including a few herbs and spices, garlic, vinegars etc etc.All household items purchased, except washing powder but we’ve only just opened a box of that (same with DW tabs) so on reflection whilst it was a lot, we should really only need staples now anyway.I remember when I tallied up for the staples last year (late on) and whilst I was shocked, it was approx £15-20 a week however I’ve already bought well into March week 2 of those already so maybe we can make it through.Anyway, at £146/300 spent. First spends of the month today. Had a £5 voucher for Lidl so should have been £18.01 but spent £13.01. Have decided to start buying a few bits and pieces as a sort of emergency reserve as our finances are a bit uncertain later in the year so want to have a little stockpile just in case.
Food £3.79/£120 Meat/Fish £2.90/£60 Fruit/Veg £1.49/£50 Bulk Buys/Store Cupboard £4.83/£30
Total £13.016
