Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark,- blustery this morning and rain forecast again today though.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, there's some LO's so another meal - likely to be tomorrow night. Back to work today - I'll see what kind of chaos has been left whilst I'm been on days' off.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's raining here, yesterday was a terrible day, cold, with heavy rain most of the day.I wasn't out at all, DH went to a nearby DIY place for some wood to box some pipes in.I spent a bit of time rearranging my clothes storage, but I have too much stuff basically, however I store it. Really. I need to go through it, and get rid of some things. We might go to Alnwick Gardens today, the forecast is quite good, well ,goodish, so we'll see how it goes. We don't mind if it's a bit breezy, but we're not going to trail round in the rain all day.Hope everyone is ok and has as good a day as they can, take care folks.16

Morning folks and thanks for starting us off nmlc. The blustery winds haven't stopped howling since early yesterday afternoon, the fields are saturated with wee lakes on them now. It's all forecasted to calm down today, thank goodness. After my busy day yesterday I'm looking forward to some rest. Mind you the service engineer is due to come this morning (after eight), my cleaner a little later and then the gardener too. I've asked her to come this afternoon rather than at her usual time. She's going to plant the two roses I bought ages ago, one climber for the arch at the front and one bush for the back. The bush is 'Mary Berry', it produces highly scented big creamy flowers.I seem to have stalked the thread yesterday. 😀 Think it's because I'm so chuffed at getting things more organised and spring is coming, I'm emerging from hibernation. 😀
I hope that everyone is safe and well. Happy Monday to everyone.16 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you have a good week at work.
Another storm has arrived, the wind was really strong during the night but seems to have died down a bit now, how is it with you Gers?
Scarlett, Alnwick Gardens is somewhere I would really like to visit, maybe this year!
I had a lovely day yesterday although the weather was truly awful at times, the standing water on the roads made driving quite tricky but I was in the back with the little one so didn't have the stress! I hadn't seen DS1 and the DGC since Christmas and it was lovely to see the little one play with DGS, he's really good with her and she just does as he says!
Off to work in a bit, we will be quite busy this week so hoping there won't be any disasters.
Take care. XX15 -
Morning all
Still blowing a gale here and we are in another wearher warning, yesterday was horrible all day with winds and lashing rain,we kept getting power cuts yesterday evening so I will expect more of the same today at work.
Roast beef yesterday which was delicious and another meal for today so a nice easy dinner tonight, dw to empty this morning and a wash to go on too.
I should imagine there will be trees down on the way to work and lots of debris in the road so I shall takw it slowly.
Have good days all and take care xxx14 -
Hi everyone and thanks for the thread nmlc
Very blowy here from tea time yesterday. I need to put the bins out shortly – wheelie bin, paper and food today, but will need to wedge paper box lid on so it doesn’t blow everywhere. DH drove to Birmingham last night (4 hours from SE London!) and the hotel booking had been made for NEXT Sunday. Luckily they had another room available.
Dinner tonight is carbonara – nice and easy meal. DD still with us – she’ll be going back to uni tomorrow, but no lectures for the next 2 weeks due to strikes. Given she’s paying £700 a month rent for her room in a shared house, we feel she should actually be using it !
Great news from the SA Florence and the choc cones/felt eggs look great. Also love the little bunny boxes with tails
Stay safe in the storms everyone and hugs to those feeling poorly or looking after poorly loved ones.

Morning
Wow another mad windy night last night and still this morning. Hoping this is the last of it now
Had a lovely PJ day yesterday mostly chilled apart from my decision to watch the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Netflix in the afternoon. I’m quite a wimp with scary films but I remember this from the first time around. Not to be watched before bed for sure but worth a watch if you’re brave. Had a more relaxing watch in the evening with DOI
Easy turkey soup casserole with leeks and mushrooms and a few roast spuds last night. Very nice. Also finally cut into the enormous watermelon Asda sent for free a few weeks ago. Had a couple of slices after dinner and was lovely. So juicy. Tonight I’m having smoked haddock and poached egg with minted crushed pea potatoes .
It’s manic Monday again so loads of calls, washing, bin runs (if this storm settles) and cleaning up ready for the new cleaner tomorrow. Its more of a tidy really as I want her to focus on things I cant do.
Have a good day all

Morning all, well the sun is out at the moment in north Kent but how long it lasts who knows .I had the builder round yesterday for a quote for my roof as I had lost a few tiles
but it has to be done and he has put me on his priority list bless him so fingers crossed it will be done asap. The fence panel I'm not bothered about as its in next doors garden and its her fence so it will be put up eventually I expect. My son-in-law had a wallop on the head from his fence post which snapped in half while he was trying to prop the fence back up. They have three dogs so need to have a secure garden. poor chap got a nasty bang and has a bruise on the side of his head. It was a concrete post so he apparently saw stars for a bit. But they too are awaiting a quote. I hope everyone is safe and unhamed as things you can mend ,but not people. I shan't be doing any shopping this week as belts have to be tightened once more to pay for the builder.
Right time for a cuppa,
Stay safe chums

Morning, hugs if you need one.
The wind began to ramp up again yesterday afternoon and it is very blustery. I would not normally go out but DB wants to go to Evergreens and I need to go to the bank and have arrnaged to meet DD2 for coffee.
One last poke at the vigilantes who police this board. The Daily newspapers use the D name.......why are you so different??? I dare say now they will bar me altogether.

Good morning,
Very windy here as well but has thankfully stopped raining.
May go for a walk later if it stays dry. I'm going to clean the downstairs floors and then reassemble the double bed in the spare room as I took it apart to paint the bedposts.
Have a good day 🌻14
