Yes it a pretty flat profile throughout the day which ties in with most of our appliances being constant small spike when dishwasher or tumble dryer goes on ?
Hoe much power are you using overnight, when everyone is asleep - your phantom load? My house might not be typical but we generally draw 80-150 watts at such times.
Your IHD will tell you, or BG's website might if you've agreed to 30-minute smart metering, or you can try http://www.n3rgy.com/ or the Hildebrand Bright app.

Ask around among friends/family to see if anyone has a simple plug in monitor you can borrow if you’re not still in possession of the IHD - that attaches to the cables from the meter and will give you a decent idea of how much is being used at any given time.
Unfortunately not, plug-in ones are for individual appliances, not for 'whole house' measurements.  You'd need one with a clip-on sensor or one with a sensor that's placed over the red LED on the meter that's marked '1000 Imp/kWh' or similar.
There are also some apps that will convert the red flashes into kW but my brief investigation didn't find one that worked reliably.
The plug in bit is the display so you can see the results - they come with the sensor. 🙂 Ours is an old British Gas one we’ve had for years and ties in extremely reliably with our meter readings. (And yes, you can get single appliance ones that simply go into the socket and you then plug the appliance into - useful for establishing how much something like washing machine uses on a single cycle for example).

Compare some time (at least a day, longer preferably) with the underfloor heating off with the same time with it on - then you will have an idea how much that is using.

The under floor heating will be 100w a square meter, could be 6 kwh day 186 a month at 50% on/off, is it a big bathroom so double or triple that?

How often is the dryer used once a day, or twice a week?
  • Thanks for all your help I think maybe my bathroom under floor heating we leave it on all the time ! Have switched off now for couple of hours each day and that seems to make a slight difference so must be more costly than I anticipated as never been an issue until these massive price increases 😡

If you leave it on then yes that'll be it, they really chew through units.
At our previous house our next door neighbour had his kitchen done and electric underfloor heating fitted, he thought it was wonderful for the first month then received his electricity bill and never used it again.
