Usage question Electricity

Can anybody advise their monthly / annual electricity usage I live in a 3 bedroom house just me and my partner and we just trying to get a feel if ou electricity usage is average it approx 550 kWH per month / 6254 kWH per year how does this compare to others ? We have gas central heating and a combi boiler

    You are about double the average.

    A winter month is a little more than a summer - more lights, in more ...............


    Do you have an electric shower ?

    Read your meter daily, keep a log and find where that energy is being used for ?

    I assume 550 KWH is from your own readings and not suppliers estimates .
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • We have an app and that what it showing 😡 and no we don't have electric shower

    Immersion heater accidentally left switched on?
    Do you have actual meter readings a year apart that differ by 6254kWh?  Extrapolating from a month ot two's usage isn't really valid, nor are estimated readings.
    Make sure you are relying on hard facts, not mere guesstimates.

    @redginger -  Can we have readings from the actual meter please - the one in the garage or meter box not the IHD in your kitchen.  I assume you have been reading your meter at least monthly and that yo gave readings to your supplier when you moved in.

    Give us readings from recent bills please and include the letters A, C E  or cust read etc
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Home computer x 2 freezer, fridge, dish washer, underfloor bathroom heating,  tv x 2 general usage hair dryer, lights etc washing machine, tumble dryer 
  • We have smart meter and I have never looked at it !

    Forget the App - look at your actual bills and divide the power used by the number days it covers and note that number on each bill.
