Texts not being received - any ideas??

For the past couple of months, on random days, I've not been receiving texts to my phone. A contact may send me several sms messages, but I won't receive any of them until around 7pm, or later, when they will all come through together. The first message may have been sent around 7am. I believe Advanced Messaging is essentially Chat under another name.
