No fees for cash withdrawals, no interest on cash withdrawals if paid in full by the due date (very unusual) and 0.25% cashback on all purchases at home and abroad and no annual fee. It doesn't get much better than that !Of course, you need to watch out for fees charged by local banks, but that's always the case.
right now, a better option would be the Chase Debit card for spending (1% cashback) and Santander Debit Card for cash withdrawals with zero fees.Another consideration for the user that talked about using Barclaycard Rewards, is that being a Visa it carries a worst exchange rate then a MasterCard, thus a Santander Debit Card or even a Chase UK Debit Card (if in known if a fee free ATM from other Spanish Banks) is a better option.0 -
There are several debit cards, other than Chase UK, which don't charge ATM fees in Spain (and elsewhere) - the trick of course is to find ATMs that don't impose their parent bank useage fee - and these are getting fewer and fewer from what is being reported.Metrobank (not worldwide), Starling and Monzo (fee free monthly withdrawal limits apply) come to mind, I believe Virgin and Barclays also offer similar accounts.0

As for the difference between Visa and Mastercard. Visa rates aren't always inferior to Mastercard and when they are it's often very small for the average holiday maker.0
