  • I've had a letter from the solicitors representing the car park company that explains that they do intend to proceed with the claim. Should I contact them to discuss a settlement? What sort of figure is usually put forward?
    Thanks

No. Thats the letter they send out after every defence submission to try and scare you into settling. Ignore it.

You were expecting that weren't you?

Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.

  • I had my mediation call today. Unable to resolve matter. They offered to settle if I agreed to pay £270. I said no and then a
Second offer of £233 they said was the minimum which I also said no deal.

So guess I'll wait and see what's next. Mediation personal said probably 9-12 ?months before a date is set if it still goes to court.

    Thanks
