Options
Hi I am aware of the dates 6 April 2007 ato 17 December 2020 for reclaiming against Provident.
Has anyone claimed for loans before that date?

The 6th April 2007 date is relevant as this is the date the consumer credit act 2006 became effective.   Prior to that date, the consumer credit act 1974 applied.      So, the issues raised by the consumer credit act 2006 wouldn't apply to those that were subject to the 1974 act.

Also, responsibility for the consumer credit act moved to the FCA at the same time.  This placed most firms engaged in regulated consumer credit activities subject to FCA DISP rules which they were not prior to that date.
