Loft party wall mortgage

We had a mortgage valuation with nationwide and among other things it came back there were no party walls in the loft.
A structural engineer cleared the other issues but not the party wall.
Can a mortgage be declined for this, or funds with held or a demand it's done before they release funds? Or will they just say its ok?
Would it be unreasonable for me to ask the vendor to put them in or lower the price depending on the mortgage outcome?
Surely if we have an issue other buyers would too. I'm not paying for the work myself as there is no guarantee on the sale going through

They'll probably put it in as a condition that you get it sorted out when you move in. It's fairly common, but they like to see a fire break these days.It wouldn't be the end of the world for your vendors to organise it if needs be. It's not a big job.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

As above, I had a condition on a mortgage that I had to put a party wall in the loft within 6 months of completion.
I signed the docs agreeing to it, but the lender didn't retain any money, and they didn't ever check that I'd done it.

I've never heard of lenders being particularly bothered about such things. Surveyors will recommend it's sorted but generally up to you whether to get around to it.0

I have a similar issue. Are you able to advise roughly what it cost to get it sorted? Thank you0
