Dizzy trust me hun, and anyone else considering eBay listing, it really doesn’t take as long as you think, and when you hear that ‘kerching!’ notification on the app when something sells, it’s a blimmin fab feeling.
I view possessions so differently now, if I shuffled off this mortal coil tomorrow most of what I own would be binned or taken to the CS. I live in leggings, joggers and PJs and have no need for so much of the stuff from my former life. Costume jewellery has been a good seller for me recently, as has heels (which I will absolutely never wear again).

I've filled a second binbag from my room, stacked my messy piles of clothes into a neat chairdrobe, put my shoes in a box, put away the childrens clothes and filled a binbag with clothes to sort through at a later date.
Pack ups doneeveryone fed and desserted..

Not exactly a night in the WAC but I didn't feel at all refreshed when I woke up, very headachey and almost flu like so dismissed the idea of a run (wind was bitter anyway) and did a Covid test - negative. Having missed run, did a few things to stave off the guilt:
- one load washing
- replenished a flower arrangement using up leftovers from drum tutor's leaving present (which he loved, sent me a photo of it in his lounge!).
- did a pile of washing up
- filled lots of bird feeders. They don't like us going away for the weekend.
- did a webinar in the hope they would give me the free software (a mind-mapping program I always recommend in student reports); I used to have it on a previous computer, but lost the licence details when I changed PC. Good webinar and they are giving me another licence.
- cautiously checked that the photos (about 800+) I moved from OneDrive (which kept telling me it was 97% full) to the local hard drive haven't reappeared. Success. I know they still need sorting and culling from the local PC but that will be easier; it is all the backups my phone does automatically.
- continued a report.
- read the gas and electric meters and put on web account. Anxiously await the bill. We arranged a new fixed tariff in July but that might make no difference. Checked my Mum's utilities ac at the weekend for her, her monthly payment has doubled but she isn't behind as she had thought.
Mr N came back from the gym via Mr T and was cross with himself having bought 'treats' of gf jam tarts (which I shouldn't eat as they contain potato) and some lovely looking lemon desserts which are set on sponge (wheat). Usually he is very good at reading labels and knows what I'm intolerant to.......however occasionally I just say s** it and today may be one of those days.
So far have eaten one valentine's chocolate heart and we had smoked salmon on biscuits while choosing a film for later. So I'm upstairs writing a bit more of a report of course......slinks off.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
ooh normal week for me = so no paid stuff tomorrow or weds...WOOTY WOOTY WOOT WOOT
weird goings on = cue twilight zone music...
my car had an error message 3(?) weeks ago - auto wiper fail. (Was v impressed to find I had one when I first got it but I digress) and last week the electric window wouldn't wind.
Anyway I stalled the engine on the way home...then the autowiper kicked back in - so I tried the window - now works. How odd
Done some washing up and put ironing aeay. and that's itDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning everyone
Yesterday was a tough day, everyone and everything seemed difficult and I did nearly 10 hours in the end. However today is a new day. 15 minutes yoga done, coffee and shower next then back into the office.
Wind gusts of over 50mph forecast tomorrow, so thats a worry.
I could go back to bed.9 -

Morning all
So far I have
- done a LFT (-ve)
- emptied the DW
- got breakfast
- started tonight's tea in the SC
- partially filled the DW
- remembered to transfer milk into a small bottle for hot drinks at my study group
- put my books together
- showered and dressed
- moved everything off the kitchen windowsill and bookshelves so that the decorator can get on
Will do a quick financial check before I go out - not that I intend to spend anything except on 2 special birthday cards!
DD has sent a photo of DGS1+2 in a beautiful sunny, snowy landscape. We have a miserable grey sky and persistent rain. Not saying I'm jealous, but Andorra looks a lot more welcoming than England atm. Heigh-ho.
Hope everyone stays warm and dry today xx7 -
Morning all,
Flying to report:
wm x 1 done and washing hanging up
clean washing sorted and HHI cleared
hair washed, as morning walk has been abandoned due to wind and rain
set a loaf of bread going to use oven space as I have decided that tonight’s dinner will be LO turkey from Xmas pie (still need to retrieve the prepped turkey from the freezer)
phone call to hospital done for DD
List to do:
dust and vac downstairs
retrieve said turkey from the freezer, possibly also some puff pastry if I can find some lurking in there
fire up the laptop for some admin - yawn
I also want need to turn out one of the kitchen drawers as DH has been rummaging in there and it is now all over the place.
My car went to the garage for its super expensive repair yesterday. I picked it up last night. It now needs to earn its keep after battering DH’s credit card with the eye watering repair cost.Keep warm and dry all, it’s miserable out there. Iona, I’m not a snow lover at all, but Andorra sounds like bliss after looking out of the windows here xx9 -
