EON Next fix or not

Presumably Eon Next have hedged enough in future supplies to be able to offer such tariffs and still make a profit. As you say, if prices do fall before April 2023, they could lose out, but I'm sure they've thought of that.

I looked at the fixed deal that Eon Next is offering me.  It is similar to what their SVT will be from April but they would switch me immediately as I am already on their SVT.  That means I would have to pay more for the high consumption months of February and March and would not see any real benefit until next winter, if prices by then are higher than they become in April.  I would certainly sign-up myself if I could delay the switch until 1st April!

I've still gone for it though, as I reckon it will still save me money on my 8000kWh annual consumption.  I don't have gas.

Give E.on Next a ring. I’ve just rang them as the v10 is marginally cheaper than what the SVR will be in April but obviously protects me against any increase in October and with no exit fee there’s nothing to loose! 

Initially the lady said she couldn’t do it for a future date as prices are just about to change but I told her I’ve seen online that people have rang and got it set to start on 1st April and within a few seconds she announced “oh yes, it’s let me do it for you”
