Hi all
Just curious, looking at going sim only with Smarty. I have never used Smarty or the 3 network
Any feedback please on both Smarty and their chosen network 3 for service and coverage etc..?

Thank you

  • I think they are owned by Three.
I have been with them before, s.i.m. only and had no problems.
If at any stage you are not happy, then it's a 30 days rolling contract. You may obtain a p.a.c., turn off any auto renew and move to another provider.
The only reason I left was a better deal with another network.
Never encountered any signal problems with the Three network.

I know I'm a bit late but I've been using Smarty as an alternative to home broadband for a few months now (I have the sim in a 4G router).
For me, it's as good as normal broadband. Speed vary between 8 and 40mbsp depending on time of the day but I can stream youtube videos in HD, download 200MB file in about 10 mins, play music on Spotify and such without issues. So unless you're planning on using it for game consoles, it should be enough speed. I have a 3 PAYG sim and signal is good in/out, so I'm happy. Switched to 3 from Orange years ago because of signal issues, no problems since the switch. Since Smarty uses 3 network, I'd assume the signal/coverage would be the same for both.
Smarty also has a referral code for 1 month free so that might appeal to some.
  • Smarty is great if you recommend someone you both get a free month. I paid via uswitch so instead of 20 quid I got unlimited data and calls for 16, quality is great unlimited tethering also month contract so no tie in no credit check pay in advance
