This was particularly important when there were long (4 hours +) queues at airports last year - however from my experience, I don’t think this it is an issue recently.
Also check if there is a possibility to change your phone at the departure airports online. At most airports there is if you're worried about battery.
I'll often leave my phone with someone sitting by the plugs on a laptop etc while sitting nearby (where I can still see it and the person it's with), however you may not feel comfortable with this so it comes to personal choice.💙💛 💔0 -

Mobile 'phone battery strength is not a worry - I learnt the value of carrying a charged powerbank on holiday a few years ago.Signal quality is more likely to be an issue.0

Same here - even though I'm big tech nerd, I still like to a have all of my bookings, boarding passes and certificates printed out, in chronological order, in a folder. It's just reassuring to have a paper backup of everything and it's easier to spot if anything is missing. A lifetime in IT has taught me that you can never have too many backups.
Always remember: "Blessed are the Pessimists. For They Hath made the Backups"2 -
I'll have paper backups if travelling alone but when with my wife/family we'll just send everything to all the phones/tablets so there's usually at least 3 places everything is stored. That's resilience enough I think. For stuff like the COVID certificate a lot of places wouldn't take it on paper because the 2-D barcode failed to scan. Mobiles were fine. So unless you have a very good quality printer I wouldn't rely on the paper copy1
