Morning all. We had a very heavy frost here last night that's still lingering this morning. On the plus side, it's bright sunshine and no wind today.
Yesterday's trip to Sainsbugs was a success; they had everything I had gone for and I also bagged a ys pack of turkey fillets. I walked there, about 20 mins (free exercise), but got the bus back as it's an uphill trek with bags to carry. I think I must have just missed one as I had a long wait and it was really cold. I was so glad to get back home into the warm and enjoyed a cup of milky coffee with a slice of hm custard tart.
Not sure what we're having for tea tonight. The menu plan says egg & chips but DH is thinking he might fancy some kippers. If he does, then I'll have pizza with salad.
I'll not be going anywhere today as Friday's my admin day - check bank, do menu plan and so on - but that won't take long so I'll be tackling a couple of things from the To Do list. One of those is to declutter the cobwebs on the stairwell, no mean feat as it's so high and I'm just a tad over 5'. DH used to do it for me but I don't think it would be a good idea nowadays since he fractured his hip in Dec 20 and now uses a walking stick. I think the NHS has enough to do without adding more onto their workload.
Lots of good news on here today - new babies, job interviews, planned holidays, haircuts etc - that's so nice to read about. This must be the best thread - everyone is so positive, even when life gets tough and the virtual support is fab. Even general waffle brightens the day.
Right, time for a cuppa and a couple of ginger biscuits, I think. Have a good day everyone, the weekend is nearly here. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
