Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, feels like a cold start for the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night fish, rice/veg - all eaten and no waste. Tonight will be a something to shove in the oven with chips, possibly pies for the menfolk, I'll have fishcakes and veg.
Yesterday was productive, although at the moment you can't see where I've been, I didn't really stop all day - have a lot to get done today but should be able to achieve what I want.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks and thanks for starting us off nmlc. Sounds a very busy day for you yesterday. Your meals always sound so good!
very cold here this morning with a heavy frost so the car will need scraping before work. I’ll think of it as free exercise. In at work again for the morning then from home this afternoon. We always have ‘on toast Friday’ so it’s scrambled eggs and beans on toast tonight. Always delicious!
Nearly the weekend. We’re off to Norfolk tomorrow for a few days to see DS2 and his GF. They’re due their first baby next month so great excitement.Take care all x15 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you get on with all your jobs, you sound very busy.
Hope you're feeling better Nanny.
Missing you Marie.
Well done Ruby.
Very cold and icy this morning, will have to defrost the car before I go to work. The heating is on for a while before I go out. The journey to work yesterday was truly awful, so much standing water, sleet and rain it was a tricky drive.
I had a much needed haircut last night and have gone a bit shorter than of late, may need to wear my wooly hat! Coal delivery arrived so I was nice and cosy last night.
Happy Friday, take care. XX13 -
Morning folks. It's zero degrees outside so I'm not going to move from under my duvet just yet. Yesterday was uneventful after the thunder and lightning. A couple of nearby villages across the water lost power for a while. Once the rain moved away the skies were blue with fluffy clouds being pushed across by the winds. There was even a tinge of a red sky at dusk.Today I'm off down to Glasgow for an overnight stay. There's another planned power outage for all day so there's no point staying here. I'll do some serious window shopping and may even drop into a cinema to see 'Death on the Nile' if the fancy takes me. Reports that the first hour is dull and slow is a bit off putting (even if I can also be described that way too 😀).There will be the usual Friday morning phone call from Oz first so I need to be up and ready before then so I can leave soon after it.Thoughts are with our missing and poorlies still. Happy Friday to all.14

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. You seem to be working like a good 'un NMLC!!It's bitterly cold here with a hard frost. Yesterday the wind was so strong, and so cold. It was bright though. We took Dgs to the park, and he wanted an ice cream! neither DH or I had any money on us, it was absolutely freezing, and I knew from experience he wouldn't eat it all, so that was a non starter. He had a minor tantrum, but soon got over it.We were glad to get home, and flop for a while.I'm visiting a couple of elderly friends (even older than me!) this morning with a bit of shopping they wanted. Truth be told I could do without going out this morning, but it's only a few hours, and going to another friend's tonight, our Friday nights seem to have taken off again.I typed my notes from Tuesday's Residents' meeting and emailed them to the chairman so that was another job jobbed.last night.TA, yesterday you mentioned The Company Shop, I'd never heard of it. I checked it out, I'm a retired NHS worker in receipt of an NHS pension and I thought I'd apply for a card. Also, I told Ds, he works in the NHS, and I have a nephew working in the NHS, think I'lll tell him.Snoozer, hope little Esben is recovering a bit, and that Steve's op goes all right.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.16

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Blimey it's a cold un this morning. Minus 2!!
SCARLET glad to have been of help! Do you have a shop in the vicinity? Some visits are more profitable than others so if the first visit is a disappointment do try again!
I made my Cheesy cauliflower soup yesterday and I'd forgotten just how nice it is. I only made half the recipe but there is more than enough to cover my lunches for the next few days.
Bah it's Friday Tidy day so a dust and vac all round up and down. My most unfavourite day of the week!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Pleased yesterday went well RUBY. Get well soon NAN. Good luck for SNOOZER's STEVES op. GERS enjoy your time in Glasgow, similarly WMF in Norfolk. Take care one and all and stay safe. xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc. You sound very busy!
I didn’t get on yesterday as it was my first day back in the office for 20 months. New office means a different, slightly longer commute, but have to say the offices are much nicer. I didn’t have time for even a hot drink before leaving home so bought coffee and water at the station (£4.50!) then bought lunch in canteen of jacket potato and tea (another £5!). Will need to be more organised going forward and take something with me. DH cooked chicken curry, rice and naan last night.
Today one boss is off, the other has a half day. It’s my friend’s birthday so we are meeting for lunch in a local restaurant which is run by hospitality and catering students. They cover everything from front of house to prepping and cooking and serving the food.
The funeral on Wednesday was a fitting tribute to a lovely lady. Lots of fond memories of her and her dear husband who died during the first lockdown. He had a zoom funeral service so it was nice to actually celebrate both of their lives with their children.
Snoozer – hope Esben is feeling brighter and that Steve’s op goes well
Enjoy the mini break Gers
Well done to Ruby for passing the panel selection – knew you’d do well 😊
Get well soon Nan
Hugs to all the poorlies and those with worries xx

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes. Esben was a bit brighter yesterday evening but I don't think he had a very settled night. Poor Laura is shattered and has another morning in clinic today. We'll be leaving in a minute to go to the clinic for Steve's op.
I have news - Chris and Crystal are expecting their first baby at the end of August. I've been sitting on the news since Boxing Day but they had the 12 weeks scan yesterday so I'm allowed to share now. Apparently the sonographer said it has very long legs which given Chris is 6'6 that isn't surprising. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.18 -
Snoozer what wonderful news congratulations to you all xSlava Ukraini13
