Morning all
Cold and frosty here too it seems to be country wide, nice and sunny though. OH is about to take the pups out for their first walk, puppy was dry overnight again she is getting so good bless her, its her last day with us as my sister is back this evening we will really miss her she is such a funny little girl.
I am going to collect the shopping at lunch time and I will pop in and get a nice loaf from another supermarket, Aldi bread is not very good.
Pizza and salad for dinner tonight so no great effort. Will have a quick tidy through this morning but will leave the big clean till the puppy has gone home.
Snoozer hope the op goes well xx
Have good days all xxx13 -
snoozer said:Hi everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes. Esben was a bit brighter yesterday evening but I don't think he had a very settled night. Poor Laura is shattered and has another morning in clinic today. We'll be leaving in a minute to go to the clinic for Steve's op.
I have news - Chris and Crystal are expecting their first baby at the end of August. I've been sitting on the news since Boxing Day but they had the 12 weeks scan yesterday so I'm allowed to share now. Apparently the sonographer said it has very long legs which given Chris is 6'6 that isn't surprising. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. Two pieces of good news in one post! Congratulations to Chris & Crystal.Nan - get well very soon.Off to de-ice the car.12 -
Lovely news Snoozer. Congratulations to C and C xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13

Frosty start this morning but the sky was cloudy, it's now clearing to blue so it'll remain cold. I'm annoyed because I lost one of my leather gloves without realising getting out of the car when we picked up DGS from football training last night. DS had to take DGD somewhere else so we volunteered to save his Mum or Stepdad the journey across town when they also have 2 littlies at home. They were grateful as it meant they could start on bathing them before they got overtired.Anyway i thought I'd have a bus trip to Bury market, catch the 'scenic route' bus by the moors and see if I can find the stall I originally got my gloves from. I need a case for my new phone too, it's bigger than my old one.Tea last night was salmon & prawns in a pil pil sauce. Morrocan chicken tonight.TA I might try your cauli cheese soup, DH isn't keen, and I can't eat a full one before it gets a bit bendy
He will eat cauli cheese but until recently haven't had space in the freezer.
Snoozer, congratulations, what lovely news. Hope Steve's op goes well.Right better get on, wishing you all a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)13 -
Morning everyone
It looks very cold here this morning - everything is covered in white frost. Thankfully though the wind has dropped - it was wild all day yesterday.
DD took me up to our big Salvation Shop yesterday - I bought a lovely wicker chair to go in the front bedroom - I've been looking for one for ages. It looks really nice with a purple cushion on to match the curtains.
The rest of the day was spent mainly reading my book. Just that little trip out left me feeling exhausted - I'm quite fed up with it now!
This morning I'll walk down to mam and dads and do his banking.
Little one is coming for tea after nursery - I'll make macaroni cheese - nice and easy.
Snoozer - lovely news - congratulations
Gers - enjoy your trip to Glasgow
Coxy11 - that's along time to be away from the office
Camelot - my hair is terrible! I've had to cancel my appointment twice while I've been ill - fingers crossed it will get done next Tuesday
Bellabella - Antarctica will be amazing
Well I'm going to check my bank - hope everyone has a good day. Take care x

Good Morning everyone , bright and sunny if a little nippy down in the Garden of England at the moment I'm off for a walk around the park today to make the most of the sunshine as its forcast rain next week.
Rosyred have a great time at Bury market I love it there ,so much to see and buy. My nephew is a vicar at Tottington, and when ever I have been up there I make a beeline for Bury market.Nothing remotely like it down here. The folk are so friendly and welcoming as well.
Hope everyone has a good day, another week almost gone ,the time seems to be flying at the moment.
Happy birthday to those celebrating and hugs for the poorlies
No shopping for me until at least monday as I am really getting down to eating my freezer down to defrost. My shopping list isn't that long at the moment anyway ,mostly only fruit and some veg so nothing I can't do without just yet
Right time to get a wriggle on. Enjoy your day chums

Morning all, same chilly start here but I put bricks on the fire last night so at least that was an easy light this morning. Planning on going out today if I can, M&S for their tuna [for the cats, it's their Friday and Saturday night treat, a quarter of a tin each] but they are very fussy and only like certain ones...This means I will also go and get my hair cut,it's very long [for me now] now, it's been three ish months I think since I had it done and shows how much I did ask to be cut off, it's only too long now...There's something else too but I've forgotten. Oh yes, different magnesium.. Luckily all those shops are in the same place but unfortunately, there's a cornish pasty shop by the bus stop, which has made me want to make some, so I might have to look for some skirt when I'm car mobile again, the only butchers in town closed down a couple of years ago.snoozer, triplegood news then, congratulations! TA, most people hate a Monday, why not move your Friday Tidy to a Monday Madness, that way, you can enjoy your potential weekend of fun
Rosy, how annoying! hope you find some new ones. Gers, enjoy your day trip! Coxy, hope your bossless-ish day goes well, and enjoy your irthday lunch out... Look after yourselves today...

Morning, hugs f you need one.
Congratulations re the new baby. Gers have a good time in Glasgow.
Well we slept in our 'new' bedroom last night. I was crackered after getting everything back. The carpet fitters were excellent, no problems moving the bed or putting the mattress back on for me. They even said thank you for having them when they went!! First time that has ever happened.
So a better nights sleep for both of us and a late get up. I have the sewing room to sort out now, but I can do that bit by bit. I now have to photo the day bed and put it on our local selling page and also Gumtree. If it has not sold in 4 weeks it will go to the charity shop. Eventually I will also have 2 more pine chests to sell.
I ordered two chests on Nov 29th, due for delivery in December, they still have not arrived, so have cancelled the order and got them from somewhere else, they were cheaper as well. Also had handles I liked better..
Heavy frost over night, so DB will not be going out to the garden today, I actually got washing dry on the line yesterday....result.
Fish and chips tonight, 3 nights this week we have had chips, so NO CHIPS next week.9 -
Snoozer - how lovely! Congrats!8

I'm back, I had to dash off rather abruptly to get Steve to Bedford. I have also walked Ziggypup so I am having a restorative cuppa before cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming round, Steve did the kitchen last night (waking me at 12.30 with the floor cleaner which I wasn't best pleased about.
It is lovely news about Crystal, I think she was getting a bit anxious about it. As I said we knew on Boxing Day, they told us but I already suspected because Crystal had not had a cigarette while we were with them! It's been very hard not to let it slip to Laura but I managed and C & C told her and Brian last night. I need to dig out my baby quilt fabric, I had quite a few made up but Laura took them all when Esben was born so I need to get going again.
Talking of quilts, the ones I took to be sewn on the long-arm quilting machine are ready to be collected, I'm pleased because she is charging less than I expected. We're going to collect them on Monday morning.
Have a good day.8
