Rightly or wrongly, I did the servicing and repairs on our old oil boiler for 25 years!
Bought a job lot of the correct sized nozzles for less than £5 each and replaced the nozzle every other year or so.
Along the way I had to replace the blower fan motor, the starter control module, the post burn purge timer unit, the spark ignition rods (twice) and the photocell.

When the installers of the new boiler dismantled and removed it last year, we were all surprised at how clean it was in the combustion space.

Reluctantly, I'm having the new boiler serviced professionally as it is a requirement for the Grant 10 year parts and labour warranty.
