Switching to a sim only deal and ensuring I keep my number
Hi all
Just looking for some quick advice please. I will be paying off the balance of my contract to Vodafone and switching to a sim only deal. Its not likely to be with Vodafone and not something I have done before so I am looking for advice on the best and safest way to keep my existing number
Thanks

OFCOM have a guide to switching https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/costs-and-billing
I'd add that I've found it easiest if I get my new service up and running on a spare phone before switching number. Means that you might have some cost overlap but it will only be for a day or so.1 -
If you want to keep your number you need a PAC code from Vodafone. If you don’t yet know which new Sim Only plan or network you are going to switch to you could ask Vodafone to put your number onto a pay as you go SIM. You’re then not tied into a contract and have the number available ready to move to a new deal when you decide on one.1
