Hi all, has anyone had experience with the New York City Pass? Seems like a bargain, but have read some bad vibes so looking for feedback please for people who have used it and any tips on getting it (am interested to understand if there are restrictions).
Cheers

I used it yeah.
Worth it if you want to go to the places that are included in the pass. Just calculate where you want to go first, then check what is on the pass and if it is worth it for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

If travelling with anyone not fully vaccinated (e.g teenagers) You will also need to factor in the current restrictions in place in New York which may prevent you from visiting indoor attractions.0

Which CIty Pass are you talking about? There are several We used this one: https://www.citypass.com/new-york and it was good value on the sites we saw. Eg Ellis Island is a lot cheaper than the Circle Line tour so we used it accordingly. It was flawless on entry to 9/11 museum and Top of the Rock.
We didn't experience any particular restrictions except that you do need to book certain things. The main one was the Circle Line as we needed to go to the booking office ahead of the day we wanted to travel to get our tix.0 -
We have booked a 'Go New York Explorer' Pass. When we download our pass we get a file that is called PDF and does not open automatically. I was expecting a QR. Just received a long reference number.
Unclear then how to book the attractions0 -
Looks like this was a website issue.
Anyone got experience of using the 'Go-City' explorer pass in New York?0
