The hot water should be set to "timed" so it comes on overnight. The "boost" button is an emergency daytime heat if you run out of hot water and don't fancy a cold shower.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Oh dear - would you mind elaborating please?QrizB said:If you've got three different meter registers - and it looks very much as though you do - you've probably got "complex metering".It's not the end of the world but it does make life more complicated.
Just spent the afternoon pressing redial but failed to get through to Scottish Power so any additional info would be helpful before I try again tomorrow.0 -
Fab thanks. There’s an electric shower so she can still have a hot shower at night 😀Ectophile said:The hot water should be set to "timed" so it comes on overnight. The "boost" button is an emergency daytime heat if you run out of hot water and don't fancy a cold shower.0 -
E10, Heatwise or similar. You'll have 2 MPAN's. The problem with this type of metering is that only the legacy suppliers support it, so you wouldn't be able to move from SP, not that you'd want to at present.Jaycee67 said:

What you'll need to work out is whether you move to E7 to give you the full choice of dual rate tariffs. This would require re-metering. And you'd lose the additional 3 hours cheap rate offered by E10.No free lunch, and no free laptop
