I go to bed early as I’m up at 4 am for work .
yes ,the heaters stay warm until about 10 pm … and are just kicking in again when I get up

Thanks, @Rosie1001. You won't gain much, if anything, by fitting HHR heaters then.

When my central heating broke down one Christmas, I had to use the wood burner to heat the house for a couple of weeks. You end up with one really hot room, and the rest of the house is vaguely warm.I still used an electric heater to take the chill off the bedroom.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.2 -
