Yes, if was 8th December and using your final meter reading you submitted then I would agree it is a final bill and you would be one of a very few to have gotten that far.

The meter reads both matched with the 1st read of bg and the last read of neon reef

People have very different experiences so they might be working through those with large balances first.
My "final" bill is dated 13th November, covering usage to 8th but not the payment of the 8th.
There is a discrepancy of 216 KWH between closing NR and opening BG but we were £44 in credit too so I reckon NR owe us a tenner.

I think BG have intimated that they won't be pursuing the missing couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. NR initially sent a 'final bill' which didn't include my most recent DD payment so I complained to the still functioning customer services who issued an updated bill. They apparently owe me about £50.

I've since left BG who I owe about £40. They have agreed to wait until the credit from NR comes through before chasing their own final bill, which should result in a small credit for me.

I just got a cheque from BG relating to a Neon Reef account that I closed in about August. The only credit on that account was a £30 penalty for late repayment of credit on my final bill. Neon Reef paid up the £30 penalty for the late sending of the final bill - and I was content to just leave at that.
