Hi - has anyone been successful in claiming back their £250 excess when they had an accident,
i collided with a BP promotion board (grrr) and claimed on my insurance (AXA).

I’ve provided all the documentation via their secure portal - taken 3 months and now at the final hurdle GoCompare are saying i didn’t use their website to price comparison and pay for my insurance- which i know i did!!!
Just wondered if i am the only one having problems doing this? Thanks

Not this year. Only last year - but that is my query - i have a GoCompare account - i’d changed insurers so i know i used GoCompare to find my new deal.Have you successfully claimed the £250?0

I have just renewed and I got a confirmation email from gocompare saying they are processing my excess insurance policy (the new policy starts in 14/02).jsrose said:Not this year. Do you have the email from go ompare and the policy documents from gocompare on your excess cover insurance policy after you renewed?0 -
Likewise, we had that email when we took out the policy and then about a month later got the actually policy emailed through.
If you didn't get the email then I don't believe they have linked the purchase with their system and you would have needed to submit a manual claim for the policy.0
