Can you not get an independent assessor in to write you a report. From the results of the report you will have an answer and a course of action to sort out the mess

I need help in figuring out what my next steps should be.
My partner and I bought a persimmon homes apartment a year ago since we moved in we have been having problems with or sky signal dropping in and out. After weeks of going back and forth between persimmon and sky persimmon admitted the problem lied with them.
They have admitted the satellite needs to be moved but they still haven't moved it. We have paid out hundreds of pounds for a service we have been unable to use for over a year now. I have tried lodging several formal complaints with persimmon customer care but it never leads to anything. I have asked about compensation they said they don't provide compensation they only fix the problem. They have done neither. How can I get my money back? Feels like I've tried everything.

I think you mean the satellite dish needs moving, not the satellite as that would knock everybody out ::)

As for Sky compensation - not Sky's fault your dish has ended up in a position where it can't see the satellites in the sky.  You would have had access to Sky Go so its not like your TV package was completely inaccessible...
Ye i meant the dish 😂 persimmon have admitted it needs to be moved but they still haven't done it. Persimmon are at fault not sky so I'm looking for compo off persimmon but they are refusing to pay us back for our sky bill.

But your Sky bill is nothing to do with Persimmon.
And as I've already said your sky service is not exclusive to the dish.  You could make use of Sky Go for example, and the on-demand offerings providing your box can see a Sky signal of some sort at least once every 12hrs (which it sounds like you can)

Anyway if what you say above is true (that its a communal dish and nobody else on the block has a problem with satellite reception) then there is nothing wrong with the dish or the LNB.  The issue is more likely to be your connection to said dish which the landlord should be able to arrange to fix relatively quickly.

I think people are missing the point I don't want help in fixing the problem I want advice on how to deal with persimmon and getting my money back for services that I've paid for and am unable to use.
You signed up to Sky.  Persimmon didn't sign you up.  See above for other ways to access what you're paying for.
Go outside and find the dish.  Is it behind large objects like trees or scaffolding?

Are these certain times of the year or certain situations where it works and where it doesn't?  Ie does it work wonderfully in the winter and then when spring comes round it gradually fades and then is almost unusable over the summer until about September/October where it starts coming back again?  That's usually a deciduous tree causing that.

If the signal fades in strong wind and it happens to be in the right direction, again that's almost always a tree, and the effect will be less in the winter than it will in the summer.

Simple: you send an LBA to Persimmon and then go through the small claims procedure if no resolution is forthcoming.
But, if the communal dish is provided by the leaseholder or management co. then surely it's their responsibility to sort this out, either with Sky, or more likely an independent contractor?
