Back... it's really awful getting out of a warm cosy bed first thing in the morning. It's never the same afterwards.Despite the rain I'm going up to Oban to restock my bare fridge and take a couple of things to the CS which have been lingering too long.I hope that our poorlies are doing OK. Happy Saturday to all.16

Morning Gers and all those who follow todays news is I dont have covid and have tested negative I am pleased so it looks like i have a bug . DH is off to watch the rugby with both DD's at a corporate do and DS is at work so i am doing paperwork oh joy . I also need to find out how to transfer the deeds of the house so i shall be spending my day at the dinning room table with the laptop
Monday will bring the renderer for the house not sure how it will look most properties locally are done but mum felt if ours was done we would be burgled as her friend round the corner had been burgled i really never got the rationale on that one but it is looking a bit sorry on the side extension with lots of patches but the main house has the stone stuff from when it was built in the late 40's and still looks in better condition. we are having a cornish cream colour so will be like the others near by. I had a quote yesterday to restore the parquet flooring in the hallway and put some extra blocks in from where the externsion was built luckily there are plenty spare under the stairs so i will email the guy to go ahead as it was well within budget. No sign of the roof windows but i seem to have enough to be getting on with ,
Right better get on and dressed and start as i mean to go on , Have a good day one and all stay safe warm and dry hugs to all our poorlies and those looking after poorlies and for all those with worries /troubles have an extra hug xxxSlava Ukraini15 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.I think I started my post yesterday by saying it wasn't really cold - it was! Absolutely bitter, and stayed thst way all day. The wind was enough to cut you in two. Still, it was bright and sunny all day, better than grey and damp.We had dgs until 3pm, then I was at a friend's last night, there were 4 of us, so we had a good natter. There's not a lot going on today, there's some apples that I'll have to do something with, they've been stored in the shed, and some carrots as well, I'll blanch and freeze them. I've been talking about it all week, it's time I actually did it.i could do with some bread, so will nip out for that, that's it really.Thoughts to our poorly people, take care today folks.15

Morning
Cold here today and supposed to be raining all weekend. Up early for no sensible reason
Making a butter chicken (replaced with turkey) padded out with mushrooms spinach and onions this morning so that’s ready for the slow cooker and I’ll do so some garlic nan later. Possibly enough for tomorrow too. Quite fancy a pud too so had a cupboard rummage and found some tinned cherries so maybe a crumble. Was supposed to be banana bread but the bananas in my delivery on Thurs are still too yellow so maybe next week.
My new contact cancelled again yesterday…3rd time… so she’s been blackballed by the company and I had an afternoon off. Hadn’t even spoke to her lol how rude!! Didn’t use the time efficiently at all instead I watched “..and just like that” finale no spoilers but I loved it.
One call today then I need start on an office declutter and that is one mother of a job so definitely bit by bit and dependant on available bin space.
Rubes hope all was good at the doctors.
Have a good weekend all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Flipping cold here too but thankfully the attempt at snowing last night came to nowt!
Just killing time now till it's time for the first bus for my usual Saturday morning jaunt into town. I did think I might go onwards to the next town for their Home B's but standing at a second cold bus stop might lose it's appeal once I am outside. There's very little I need and I'm not stuck fast for any of it so I'll decide once I'm out.
Have a good day folks and thinking as usual of our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning All
Horrid weather this morning, really wet and windy. It was icy last night but much milder today. Bedding in the WM, that can go on the pulley.
Hope you got on well at the docs Ruby.
Your menus always sound good Nelski.
How was the orange curd Scarlett?
Good news you don't have covid bella, hope you get well soon. You've certainly been busy at the house.
I need to pop out for some supplies, the little one is staying here tonight, first time she's stayed away from home on her own. I'm ready for a disturbed night but it will give DD and her DP some time to themselves. DS1 and the DGC were going to come over but their Mum has booked DGS's birthday party for this afternoon so I've told DS not to come, it's too much for them. If the weather improves I might take a trip up there tomorrow or meet them halfway.
Shower time for me, have a good weekend. Take care.XX14 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
We definitely do not have covid, no signs of anything, so guess my cleaner was just unlucky. A second testing kit came yesterday.
Decorator has finished, he is coming back this morning to put the blind back up, the glass paint was still tacky when he left yesterday. Once he has been we are off to the market for some fruit and veg. I am planning on hanging the curtains today. I had to climb the mountain thats the mattress to find the old ones. I need the hooks. We have 5 nights left until the bedroom is back, then I have to wait for the new bedside chests to come, should have been here in December, now it looks like we will not get them until March.
We have had a frost, but its clearing, still pretty cold although the sun is out.
Supper is all dat breakfast with oranges in jelly for dessert.12 -
@bellabella if the title is registered you need a TR1, an AP1 and an ID1 for each person as well as the grant of probate or letters of administration. Fairly straightforward. If it isn't registered please get a professional to do it - it's so common for mistakes to be made with unregistered title. NB - this is England, Wales and Northern Ireland. I have no idea in Scotland14

Morning all,
I used to be a long time user of this forum, then I sort of drifted away, but I am back! Hope you are all coping ok, with everything that's been thrown at us recently, it's certainly been interesting! Hope you all have a decent weekend, we've nothing major planned really, other than keeping warm, knitting, learning German and some other random things.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

My common sense has kicked in, I'm not putting a toe outside. The winds are awful and the rain is a deluge, I'd get blown away. There's also a weather warning out for later today and tomorrow so I'll stay put until Monday. Whilst the fridge is bare the freezer has more than enough to keep me going and it's about time I broke open the bag of frozen green beans. 😀
It's so awful that I'm still in bed, I've turned the electric blanket back on for an hour, it feels both lovely and indulgent.Bella - well done!
Anyone seen / heard from Hester recently? I hope she's OK.15
