I'm not sure where to post this, but does anyone have problems installing Atom or Beehive, which are app-based? I have a brand new iphone 13 mini, and neither of these two appear in the app store. If I click to download from the website links, I just get a white screen with 'cancel' on my phone. Quite frustrating!
Check you have the region correctly set to UK etc.
Ah yes. Despite buying from Apple UK, the phone was set to US for the region. That wasn't an obvious change to make, as it was buried in other menus. thanks for the help!

Are fixed rate savings account interest rates likely to continue to increase?  How long for?  Im planning on putting some in a RBS savings account if they increase from their 5.55% 1yr currently on offer.  They have continued to increase the interest rate recently and the current fixed rate offer expires on the 9/14 of August.  If it doesn't change will likely take a look at other fixed rate accounts.

You could get 6.05% for a 1 year fix now, with Atom Bank. You might wait a long time for RBS, a very long time.
  • New email received from CTB:

We’ve contacted you by email recently to advise that the interest rate on your new 1 Year Fixed Rate e-Saver account has been adjusted in line with our Best Rate Promise.

Please note that this communication was issued in error, and you will receive the interest rate of 6.20% AER as previously confirmed. Your online account may currently show a different interest rate, but we are working to correct this and will update your records as soon as we can.

There is no need to contact us in the meantime; we will contact you again once we are able to confirm the correction has been applied.

We apologise for any concern or confusion caused.

They have increased it twice in the last few months though

Beehive money 2 year fixed @6.1% - does anybody know if interest paid at muturity? MSE says so but looking at t&c's its unclear whether interest at end of year 1 counts towards that tax years allowance.

According to the terms there's no option to have it paid away so it'll count as 'inaccessible' and so all the interest will (should...) count as arising at the end of the term.

Ah, ok. So it only counts as taxable in that year if you can access it?
