Steve_xx said:Castle Trust Bank - I opened one of their 1 year fixed rate bonds paying 6.2% earlier in the month. Today I received an email from them, telling me that I have now benefitted from their 'Best Rate Promise' and that an increase in interest rate has been applied to my account. Logging into it I'm horrified to see that the rate applied is 5.98%. Naturally I have messaged them, asking for an explanation. Others may have also received such a message from Castle Trust?Mortgage free

I also opened a 1 year fixed savings account with Castle Trust on 12th at 6.2%. Today I received an email saying the rate had increased due to their 'Best Rate Promise'. However, it had been reduced to 5.98%. I've put the complaint in and await the outcome. I suggest anyone with this account logs in and checks the rate.0

apologies if already mentioned (checked but couldn't see any mentions), but it looks like FirstSave have pulled their 1 and 2-Year fixes - only the 3-Year fix is still currently available.

+1 re Castle rate decrease.
I've not been entirely reassured by Castle. They originally sent me a blank email instead of my customer number. The email they sent about depositing stated the wrong sort code (they wrote the sort code of my linked account,) - they realised their error later in the day. Then, sending a secure message now, I get "Sorry. An error occurred while processing your request. There was a problem processing your request. Please contact us for help." (Eermmm, I'm trying to)

I'm not sure where to post this, but does anyone have problems installing Atom or Beehive, which are app-based? I have a brand new iphone 13 mini, and neither of these two appear in the app store. If I click to download from the website links, I just get a white screen with 'cancel' on my phone. Quite frustrating!0
