  • A couple  of days ago I applied for a 2 year fix with Vanquis paying 6.20%.
Like others have commented, you need to wait for paperwork to arrive to complete the opening.

My question being, I've just seen the rate lowered on here, so does that mean when or if I'm accepted I'll recieve the actual interest rate at that time or the rate advertised when I applied.
    Thanks in advance.

I did the same and am waiting for the paperwork. I’ve checked my email and as long as you fund the bond within 30 days you get the rate that you applied for.

Shawbrook's 1 year has dropped from 6% to 5.7% - another sign that fixes have perhaps peaked?

So the clock is ticking on the funding window...
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Received my Vanquis login details today, for the 6.15% fix that is NLA.

The bond is showing as open with zero balance and the promised 6.15%. So that would appear to be "locked in" if you are just awaiting the login details in the post.

For anyone who already has a Vanquis account, can you tell me how long it usually takes to process an incoming payment? I've transferred my initial £1k deposit from Santander and am wondering how long I need to wait for it to show.

They are usually very quick - I think mine showed within 2 hours previously.

It's been several hours now and still not showing. I wonder if Santander have done their old trick of making it look like the payment worked, but actually it didn't and they didn't tell me.
