It's becoming a bit of a joke with Smartsave to be fair. I'd rather stick with Atom, great service and flexibility and you can literally have as many bonds with them as you want (usual limits apply). The app is also one of the best, never had any issues, could always use biometrics to log in, even if super dark my face got recognised. If SM are so desperate to always stay on the top of the table, I wonder why? Is the top rate really their only USP?

You can change definitely between paying interest into the bond or away to your nominated account and the day of payment. Can't see an option to change between monthly and annual when I just checked.

Just had a look at mine (fixed) , can change interest date (to any date in month) and can change to nominated a/c but cant see changing to yearly.

I think having watched their model of attracting new savings over the last few months, I'd pass on saving with them.
 Exactly as someone had posted earlier, it can't be that simple attrracting new funds when your prospective consumer base keeps dwindling due to your policy of one account only, excluding existing customers from your offerings.
