  • Had an email from Savings Champion this morning saying I could get 5.35% gross with Aldermore for a 1 year fixed rate bond. I applied for it through the website Aldermorebonds.com. Is this a genuine offer/ company? The rates on the Aldermore bank are a lot less.As I am not familiar with Aldermore I’m a bit confused that there are 2 different rates for a 1 yr fixed rate bond.

That address comes up with nothing for me but it's not the address of the genuine Aldermore Bank Plc
Could be a clone scam. Did SC actually give you that address?

it looks like the domain was registered 5 days ago and is hosted in Canada - 5.35% for a 1-yr fix would be too good to be true, so I would deeply suspect that it's a scam site... have you checked the Savings Champion email is genuine? I never received an email from them this morning....

Definitely not the genuine Aldermore site which is "www.aldermore.co.uk"
    Current offerings are shown below.

As @ColdIron said, are you sure the email was from Savings Champion?

MSE ranks quite high on google searches so probably good if the thread stays up as a warning to others
  • I’ve been a long time lurker on these forums and was a bit worried after signing up for the account and decided to join MSE to ask advice and it is definitely not my website. I have not put money in to the account but am worried I have give  them my details/ bank account etc. they said they would send my username through the post. At the moment I am not going to fund the account unless I know it is genuine. This is the email I had. Please don’t open an account with them unless you know they are genuine.
