  • I reckon we've peaked now with these fixed rates, I doubt we will get anything much higher than the ones on the market at the moment.

Agree with this. Can see them falling. Think I'll lock in this weekend.

All it takes is one or two to offer a higher rate - then the market will follow.

Could maybe be time to lock in a 5yr fix at 5.05%. Gotta weigh up the choice and ask yourself if you think in say 2 or 3 yrs you'll still get 4 or 5%?

Andrew Bailey predicted he'd still get his £575,000 / year salary despite failing on every level to do his job of controlling inflation.
He failed miserably at Ofgem so who on earth expected him to succeed at BoE. Seems to me to be failure by design.

Andrew Bailey had never been at Ofgem

  • Looks like the chart topping BLME products have been withdrawn.  Whether that's preceding a further increase or to launch a lower rated product I don't know...
  • UTB 5 yr is 5.05 not 5.0 as it says on mse. Opened one yesterday will hold off funding it though, got the 5.05 locked in, have 14 days to fund or it gets closed.
