I listen to BBC Radio Stoke and /or Shropshire on my new Sonos One speakers through TuneIn
Today I'm betting the prerecorded message 'sorry inavailable' message on both channels.
Asked BBC Shropshire who replied ...
<<Hi J..
Once again, the signal’s been “geolocked” for the Winter Olympics from midnight last night for the duration of the games.
As we discussed previously, it’s likely your radio uses a third-party server in the US to call up its stations (ie a service like vTuner or TunedIn). If you want to send me a model number, I’ll see if I can see any way around it.. though I suspect unless we can point it directly at the BBC Sounds stream, you might struggle.
Sorry – I don’t think manufacturers considered some of these issues when they designed the products!
Thanks for getting in touch>>I'm not at home currently to try, but can I get BBC Sounds on Sonos?
