Concerns about steel-frame construction homes

Has anyone bought or lived in a steel frame construction house, and if so, what are your experiences with maintaining or repairing such a property, heating and cooling issues and the effect on property value and increase?
Are there any benefits or drawbacks compared to living in a typical brick and wood home?
Are there different sort of steel frame houses?
Is it just the frames that are metal or the actual wall sections too?
Why are lenders wary of giving mortgages for such properties?
Would they be eligible for any government grants for insulating your home?
With energy prices exploding, I would hate to be stuck in a house that was even less energy efficient than average.
Any information or advice is appreciated.

My parents live in a 1960s steel framed bungalow, one of dozens on their estate. Unless you go in the roof you don't know its steel as its standard cavity wall construction.
There has never been a problem getting a mortgage on them.

If you search online you can get information about advantages and disadvantages and what to look out for. Almost bought one as one came up and price seemed too good to be true for the appearance, size and location. Discovered it was due to being steel framed. Decided not to buy due to not wanting to have issues with lenders down the line. Lender criteria keeps changing and can not afford to be caught out. I don’t think there are any problems living in them just that not all lenders will lend against them I heard.Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)
Mortgage start date first week of July 2019,
