£108.5 I paid for 370.49kwh I take it my Tariff is abit pricey then?
The current single-rate standard variable tariff is around 21p/kWh. 21p x 370.49 = £77.80. You'd need to add the standing charge to that.
    However, you said:

Day Rate 23.02p/kWh Night Rate 15.36p/kWh Electric Standing Charge: 24.12p/day
That's an Economy 7 tariff intended for people with storage heaters. On the day rate of 23.02p/kWh, 370.49kWh would cost £85.29. 15 days of standing charge would add £3.62 to that, total £88.91.
Can you give more infromation on what you actually paid £108.50 for?

  • Thank you QrizB I will have to double check. Does 23.02p sound reasonable?

currently, it's a fair price for the day rate on an E7 tariff.
However it's not clear (to me, at least) that you're benefitting from E7. Do you know the split in your consumption between day rate and night rate? It should be shown on your bill.

  • I’m a little confused myself as have got 2 bills so far for January one for the 14th then the 15th-18th and at the moment can see how much it’s cost me so far from them dates till now. I can see from the 15-18th my bill was 22.30

That's only three days of data but, if it's typical, you're using less than 15% of your electricity on the "night" rate. You should consider switching away from E7 and onto single-rate electricity. (This might need an electrician.)
Alternatively, replace your infra red ceiling heaters with storage heaters and run them on the E7 night rate instead. (This will definitely need an electrician.)

  • Thanks again! With this economy 7 set up I have one emersion heater that only comes on at these off peak times. Excuse me for again being naive Again but does this mean everything at night is on the tariff or just the emersion that’s only becomes live at the off peak times?

All the electricity you use during the E7 night period will be charged at the night rate.
The switch in the meter is there to make sure the immersion heater (and the storage heaters that your flat had in the past) *only* turn on during the night period.
