Does MSE have doorstep cold callers?

Twice in the last few weeks, we've had someone cold call at the door saying they're from MSE, and on both occasions have asked about upgrading to full fibre broadband.
Today the chap had a plastic ID tag with MoneySavingExpert printed on the bottom. I reckon even I could have made one of those with a laminator. He was sent packing.
I'm fairly certain he wasn't from MSE, but just in case, I'm checking if there are legitimate MSE people cold calling.

In short, NO2 -
Are you sure it wasn't just money expert, I've saw it mentioned somwhere about BT using them in full fibre areas2

I can confirm that MSE does not cold-call people:

It will have been the Money Expert muggers. We had them around our area (Leeds) twice a few weeks ago. Apparently Gladys down the street has told them that the Virgin cable service is a bit patchy. Whilst they don't technically lie, they are misleading and are really just trying to get you to change service provider.1

Why do people open their front door to strangers? I bought this pre-pandemic and feel no guilt:

We have obscured glass in the front door. The only way we can find out who is at the door is by opening it. I have tried using my psychic powers but they aren't working properly. We do have a similar sign on our front door but it isn't totally effective. Some years ago I pointed the sign out to a cold caller who responded with "If I took any notice of those I wouldn't get any f***ing sales". Those were literally his words, so I responsed in kind by saying "Well you ain't getting a sale here so Foxtrot Oscar", or words to that effect.
