What tradesperson?

So we want to move the bathroom around to make it smaller to allow us to move our backdoor to make our kitchen work for us.
We're thinking of doing it in stages, first we would need to put a wall up to make the bathroom smaller, the window will need to be moved and the bathroom will need to be done. Who do we need to contact first or do we go with a company that will do it all?
Here's the layout that were looking to go with. Yellow is where we want the door to be moved.

Popping to one side, the question of 'is going to a really tight bathroom, which is downstairs away from the bedrooms a good idea?'. IMO it would result in an imbalance in the amount of people that can sleep in the house and the amount of people that can wash in the house.

A builder will do the partial rip out of the old bathroom, put in the new door, brick up the old one and put up a new stud wall for the new bathroom wall.

They then might co-ordinate the plasterer, plumber, electrician, decorator and tiler. Or you might cut the builder loose and coordinate those trades yourself, and perhaps do some bits yourself (e.g. paint the ceiling, move the lights, or do some tiling)

Either way, a reputable local builder is the place to start, and they will either take on the whole process, or do the first bit.

What is above the kitchen?  What kind of roof, and which way(s) does it slope?

    Terrace/semi/detached?

It's a semi, the bathroom has a flat roof, only part of the house that is. There isn't anything above the kitchen.

    @FaceHead thanks.

It's only short term as we will also have a bathroom upstairs eventually but need to save a bit more for this and would rather get the kitchen done as this is stopping us finishing the downstairs off.

Any decent builder will take on the complete job and contract out any work they can't do themselves.  Trying to manage different trades yourself is generally a bad idea.  Plus, if there are any problems in the future which trade would accept responsibility.

You could turn the dining room window into patio doors instead?

I know you said you're putting a bathroom upstairs but I can't see how putting a hallway in really helps the kitchen unit placement.  You'll get one/two more units in but sacrifice space where you still need to maintain a walkway between the units and the nearest corner of the new bathroom so you can get out of your proposed back door.

Better to have a full galley kitchen with a door in the gap that opens into a bigger bathroom.

    And a back door elsewhere...

All that said, it feels like what will presumably become a 2 bed house won't need two bathrooms.

Wouldn't it be better to work to the grand plan and start with the new bathroom, then you could keep just the little toilet room area downstairs, run the right hand kitchen units right down to the end of the building and have a decent sized back door in between the two.

@Doozergirl we've thought about patio doors but we live in a rural setting and with the kids running in and out I couldn't bear the dirt coming in.
We've also got a garden which we cannot see at the moment as the bathroom is in the way as it does all along the back of the house. The kitchen at the moment is an ok size for us so feel just that extra bit where the back door is now will help.
Upstairs we've had plans to fit a bathroom in and still keep it as a three bed with an option to go up in the loft if we stay long term.
We could eventually when the bathroom upstairs is done change the room to a utility room.
I do love the idea of having the kitchen run all the way to the back but it'll be a while off if we decide to install a new bathroom upstairs!

So this is one of the other layouts on our road which gave me the idea maybe I should give them a knock and ask for a look around! Lol obviously ours would be on the other side of the house.
