Sorry you are going through that. I'd ask for a second opinion - if you can get one. Doctors don't always know best.

Thinking of you and really hoping that you can get some definitive answers. (((hugs)))XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -
So sorry to hear about DS, sending you both my best wishes CM3

Thank you all xx
Last week was a difficult one and the weekend was no better. DS challenged everything I said or did this weekend with such attitude and it really wore me down. At times, I just wanted to cry. I've been feeling rough for over a week with a virus and coughing most nights so that hasn't helped me in coping with everything. He seemed to have snapped out of it this morning so I'm hoping we have a better week.
I've spoken to a GP and the practice pharmacist about DS's medication and both have agreed it could be the cause of a lot of his symptoms and explain the abnormalities in the results of recent tests. However, both obviously say the Paediatric team know what they're doing so to go along with it. We have an appointment with the paediatrician tomorrow. I really don't like him, he is arrogant and belittling, but I will do my best to question him again on this medication and its side effects (which he denies the existence of). In doing all this, I did get to speak to my GP about the blood tests I was due to have in the summer which were cancelled so she's re-booked those and also requested further tests. I'd given up trying to get in contact with a Dr tbh so am grateful for this.
I was paid last week and seem to be low on money already with everything allocated to bills and pots. I need to wait for the tax credits to come in now before I can top the grocery and 'other spends' pots up - there's around £80 in the groceries and just £20 in the misc spending pot atm for everything else. All the bills are covered though.
I'd planned to send £150 to the emergency fund this month but had to reduce that to £100 as couldn't afford it.I did send an extra £50 each to both the car pot and Christmas pot though by using the money I normally send to mortgage as an OP.
I need to pay another £75 in two weeks for DS extra tuition and £50 for another activity he wants to do at school. The ex has agreed to go halves but I still need to find over £60 for that from somewhere. Guess it will have to come from the tax credits and CB as that's the only income left to come in now until next payday.
I will hopefully make an extra £10 tonight from a fb sale and clear some more space in the shed. I also managed to get some sense from someone last night about getting back into my ebay account I couldn't access, so I should be able to start listing a few things on there again soon to try and make some extra ££'s.
I applied for the £200 extra fuel support payment today and alerted an eligible friend who is struggling to apply too, so hopefully that will help us both. I don't think I will receive anything until next year though, if they decide I'm eligible (the criteria said I am but I won't count on it yet).
I took DS to the cinema at the weekend using some free tickets I get yearly as a perk from my bank account. We were running late and rushing and I hadn't bought a drink (with no shop nearby either) and I was coughing, so I bought two drinks and a hot dog from the counter for DS. £16. SIXTEEN POUNDS!!! Never again. It's daylight robbery. DS didn't really enjoy the film and spent the whole time shivering because he was cold and had refused point blank to wear a jumper or bring a coat, despite me telling him he would be cold, so I gave him my coat which he sat in, zipped up to the top with the hood up and looked like he wanted to be elsewhere the whole time. It wasn't an enjoyable experience unfortunately and wasn't the free trip I'd hoped for.
I checked the met office weather app this morning to see if it was 'safe' to put washing on the line. 'Yes' it said. 'No more rain' it said. Half an hour later I got drenched through trying to pick the washing in quickly, literally had water dripping off my hair and nose, only for the sun to come out 15 minutes later after I'd got dry clothes on and put the last item on the clothes horse to dry inside! That's just about right for me and my luck at the moment! The clothes are staying inside. I'm not playing anymore...

£10 made on a fb sale this morning and a bit more space cleared in the shed. It’s already been spent today on some groceries and a £5 treat for DS today after a rather draining hospital appointment. Groceries included 2 pints of milk reduced to 29p, just as I needed more anyway.OH bought us over some treats this evening and we had a chat about my mortgage and plan of action in reducing one of the sub accounts as much as I can before the first fixed rate runs out in 4 years. OH has just paid his mortgage off by OPing the last few years. If I hadn’t have had the awful run of horrendous luck with the previous two houses I’d have probably paid mine off too.
No point looking back though I guess.
I’ve had a response from the faulty furniture company who have promised collection and a refund. Hopefully that materialises quickly, but won’t count my chickens yet. I’d still really like to get a shelving unit to fit there but have decided to wait until I find a bargain - hopefully.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Fingers crossed you get a refund from the furniture company, at least you paid on CC so you have that protection if it all falls through.
I guess with previous 2 houses all you can think is that you did as well as you could in the situation you were in.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Hi I just wanted to say I think you are doing brilliantly, it sounds like you have a lot on and are juggling it all extremely well. Take care CM2

I think you are doing amazingly well with so much going on. Well done for keeping the focus despite all. Hopefully they will sort DS medication out and he will be feeling better.
I remember freezing at an outdoor football game as my DN refused to take a coat and it was so cold I had to give him my jumper ..
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
