Really sorry to read this  If there's a recording that will help though if you report it in the right places. Hope things improve for both of you. You are doing the best you can. Unfortunately there are wrong uns in every walk of life.

I do hope you can find someone who can help.  Interestingly my ex worked for a time in a children's home!  Frankly they seem to be a bit entitled.  Fortunately my DS hasn't seen his father since just before he was 9.  He (ex) found it too upsetting seeing him.  It may turn out for the best if your ex feels the same.  You do not need a repetition.  Are you sure nothing similar has happened before even if not as extreme?  If you can keep the recording.
You need to be aware too that some men see their own male children as I can only call it a threat.  Not as someone to help thrive & grow but an actual threat.  I am so sorry you & your son are going through this.
  • Gosh that is awful, no wonder you are so upset, I have everything crossed you will find someone who will support you with this, if that is accepted by his partner it is likely a toxic environment. As a nurse I can be safeguarded for not giving meds in a timely way!! He should be accountable for his sons health when in his care. Take care of yourself, you really deserve a turn around in luck

Thank you for your comments and support, it means a lot. xx

I’m trying to keep busy at the moment to keep my mind occupied, so have been listing and sorting things out at the moment. Several of the FB items I listed have been sold and I’ve made £70 so far with a further £10 to come next week. Two items are looking like they will need to be posted, but it’s potentially another £20-£30 income by doing so.
I’ve returned one item that I bought for a refund and some trainers and shorts which I bought for DS but don’t fit will also be going back this week. In total, that’s around £60- £70 back in the account.
My help to save funds and bonus finally arrived in the bank account - £925 in total - so it’s been stashed between various savings pots and I’ve overpaid the mortgage by £50.
I’m still waiting on the fencing quote and one from a builder to finish off some small jobs.
The bag for the charity shop has made it as far as the boot of the car, it will be dropped off when I’m passing one that’s open and accepting donations. I also filled the car with some old cupboards and wood to take to the tip, only to get there and find they no longer accept wood…  :s So everything got taken home, taken back out of the car and will have to wait for another day when I am going near the tip further away.
I’m thankful these past few days for dry weather which has helped me to get several loads of washing line-dried for free.

    Crazy they won't take wood!!!

Great news on the sales and the returns and the H2S bonus. It all helps. Well done on the OP. Hurray for nice weather - it really lifts our spirits too...

    Thank you savingholmes x

I seem to have come down with a virus this weekend. :( Covid tests are negative, but we were planning on going to my parents later this week as haven't seen them for months and I can risk giving them any nasties as they are so vulnerable. I'm praying I shift it within the next couple of days.
I had a nightmare trying to fill the car up this weekend as there was no diesel locally anywhere. I managed to find some this morning at an expensive local garage and it cost over £70 to fill my little car up. :o It has only ever taken £55 ish max when it's been completely empty.  If we do get to my parents house, I have no idea whether I'll find diesel anywhere to get back as they live in a quite a remote area. I am feeling a bit fed up today with life being so overly complicated and expensive.
OH and I were going to go out for the day yesterday but decided against it as the area we were hoping to go to is a 40 minute drive away which seems a frivolous waste of fuel and money presently, so we stayed local instead. We did pick up a few offers on checkoutsmart and today the cashback of just over £26 I requested from them last week hit the account.
This morning I paid the cash into the bank made from sales last week, minus a bit that I used to take DS to the cinema on Saturday. £60 went into the bank, then over £70 straight out on diesel! :s  At least it helped to pay for that.
I have had some interest on a few other items but nothing solid. Hopefully I will make at least another £50, I could really do with it. I definitely need to list a few of the items on ebay as I have had requests to post things, but I will wait until after the easter hols to do that.

I do hope you recover quickly in order to visit your parents. There are a few things going round. My husband has had a cold for over a week. Negative tests but just doesn’t go.
I can see how you get fed up. Things are not so straightforward now since covid.Coupled with ever increasing prices it’s pretty depressing. I’ve just filled my little car up. I had to queue to get in. I’ve never spent so much £51. My gas & electric has gone up to £363 a month. That’s the biggest bill we have. I wouldn’t mind so much if I wasn’t sat under  a fleecy blanket when it’s cold. Bring on the good weather. Take care xx

The £10 fb item has just been collected, so that’s £10 in my purse and another unused item cleared. Hopefully someone will be collecting another item tomorrow for £15.
I ventured up into the loft today and had to bring down a few cardboard boxes that had gone really mouldy up there really quickly.  :s One was the box with my wedding album in - it’s about time I sorted what to do with that really isn’t it - so have gone through and removed all of the photos of my family that I wanted to keep and ripped up and binned the rest. Sad feeling that all that planning, money and excitement all went to waste but quite cathartic to rip it all up and bin it.
In one of the other boxes was a brand new electric heater that I must have moved from house to house with me 3 or 4 times now and it’s still wrapped up new in the box, so I’ve just listed that on fb too.

I picked up a few YS bargains from the Asda bakery last night - 8 huge chocolate muffins for 40p, a large lemon traybake cake for 50p, packs of fruit/lemon/maple pancakes for 15p - all has been wrapped in portions and put in the freezer for us to use up bit by bit.
No news on the two fb sales which were supposed to be collected today. I'm not holding out much hope of either of those being collected, both potential buyers seem flaky. It's a shame as it would have been an extra £30 in my purse but it will all hopefully sell sooner or later.
I've received the £150 council tax payment in my bank account today. I'm going to send £50 to the mortgage and £100 to the savings.
