Parking ticket from Alliance Parking (private)

Hi,
I parked my car in a car park the other day with a 3 hour limited, I went to the cinema I put my CORRECT registration details down to gain me 4-5 hours, and I received a ticket for being parked there for 3 and a half hours.
I tried to appeal online saying I was there in the cinema, I entered my details correctly and I provided them with an online receipt stating the time and date I was in the cinema.
The sum of £15.00 will be accepted if received on or before 12/02/2022; alternatively, the sum of £100.00 is payable by 26/02/2022 or £170 thereafter.”
I am at a loss for words because they know I was there as I provided them with proof and these scumbags still won’t drop it. I could pay the £15 but I don’t think I should.
Any advice?

They got back to me, denying my claim and they said I wasn’t on the exempt list even though I put my registration in, which I think is the cinema’s fault. They also said this to me:
“ Having said the above, you have submitted evidence confirming that you were a customer onsite; therefore, as a gesture of good will, and on this occasion only, we are prepared to accept a small contribution towards the costs that we have incurred in full and final settlement.

It's your choice. How much research are you prepared to put in to understanding how all of this works? Reading the detailed NEWBIES FAQ Announcement sticky thread, appealing the £15 charge with Alliance, at which point the charge reverts to £100 and a guaranteed rejection of the appeal, chancing a further appeal to the IAS where you have a 4% only chance of success, failure to pay the £100, then up the charge goes to £160 (now including debt collector charge), dealing with months of debt collector letters, then solicitors letter, then possibly a court claim against you, months of work to defend yourself, then a court hearing, where, should you lose, you're looking at around £200 costs against you.If your principles are strong and you want to fight it, there's plenty of written resources on the forum with help from regulars, but you'll have to do the work. It should all be over, one way or another, by this time next year.
It does stick in the craw, but that's the reality of the situation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

It would appear that something went wrong with the registration process equipment. This is not your equipment but belongs to the cinema/PPC and you should not be held liable for their rubbish gear! If you are not up for the fight, pay the £15 but let the cinema know that they have tainted your last ever visit to their complex (the shops might also be interested to know that the PPC have chased away yet another customer) because neither you, your family nor your friends can afford to go there if every visit comes with a surcharge of £100.3

Horrible dilemma because IMHO this is one of the worst IPC companies who seriously need to take a long hard look at how they operate. Based on what we know, there is NO APPEAL worth trying but I'm not going to tell you to pay this rogue firm a penny.
BTW last time I used a VRM keypad last year I took a photo of the confirmation screen every time, just in case.
Something is non-functioning about their keypads, look:

Odeon Swansea by any chance?
If so, you and that other poster need to talk to each other by pm and complain together with your evidence to the Odeon Manager again and to your MP to complain for you both.
Something is up. In our experience this is a particularly nasty firm, make no mistake.
Please get this in the local paper. I wonder if this is a pattern...

I ended up paying the £15 fine because I’m an apprentice who is pretty busy and I couldn’t be bothered potentially wasting a lot of time fighting them.I even emailed Odeon Swansea prior to paying the fine, informing them of my parking fine dispute and I asked them for proof of my registration being put into the system on the date and time given and they could not provide me with it. Ridiculous2

Put something on the Odeon's social media platforms to warn other potential victims that this isn't a place to go without risking a 'penalty' for parking! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
