Can I have 2 Nest thermostats in a single zone heating system?

Hi,
I currently have a Nest thermostat located in my living room for my single zoned heating system. This is great, but when we go to bed it’s normally cold in the bedroom and we normally increase the temperature in the living room before we go to bed in the aim to heat the bedroom.

Is it possible to add another Nest thermostat in the bedroom that we can control the bedroom temperature. How would this work as the 2 thermostats could be asking for different temperatures but are controlling the same zone?
Any help/advice would be great. Thanks.

No, putting a thermostat in the bedroom won’t do this.0

Can you not use the Nest app on your phone? The number of times I have altered the temperature in my house via the thermostats themselves, I could probably count on one hand.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

It sounds like you want to balance the system via your TRVs first so that you don't
need to overheat the lounge in order to heat the bedroom. But it also sounds like a smart TRV on the bedroom radiator would be the way to go if you don't want to fully heat it all of the time, as you can time it to come on before bedtime.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

you could add smart TRV heads to all the radiators in the house, and then before bedtime set the heating to come on, set all other rooms to zero and just have the bedroom TRV on

My house has a low EPC rating so the chances of the boiler not topping up the heat in the living room during that hour is slim to none. The heating will always kick on long enough to heat the bedroom as well.0 -

I don't have a NEST system, but have been looking at one together with smart-TRV's. I was thinking to have the TRV's set in each room as desired and adjusting with time and to have the NEST central thermostat set to a higher level so that it operates as a time-controller but rarely limits on temperature.
Would that work?0
