    I'm sorry for your recent loss of your mum, @Froglet.  

    @Pennylane, if I ever find out that the LA was having to pay for my mum's care, I would let them have all the original info on my mum's finances at the point her house was sold and she went into residential care. 

    Realistically the only other impact is, possibly, to beneficiaries of my mum's estate.   I've always try to take the view if one receives anything that's great - if not, you are no worse off.

    Is it upsetting?  Yes, but as my partner tells me - the only one hurt by being upset/angry is yourself.

    Thank you Alice.Being upset and hurt are emotions that,like most are,not something you can switch off.So sad when families don't pull together and agree,whether before their loved one dies,or afterwards.I have 2 sisters and they have been only too glad for me to do all the paperwork involved.Probate submitted so just a waiting game now,then we can sell Mum's bungalow.

     I do hope you can get matters resolved soon.
