No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries February 2022

  • Looking at my stash I realised I wasn't going to get through anything else proper before the end of the month (Friday for me, payday ), so I used a few samples- it at least gets some sachets out of my house!

    UU
    • Sample of Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil:  enjoyed using an oil instead of a balm, it felt very easy and luxurious to use.  Don't think I will use this particular one again though as it had quite a strong smell- uses bergamot and I'm trying to reduce redness so wouldn't want to risk this irritating over time.
    • Sample of Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack: felt very nice when I put it on.  But I think you're meant to put it on over moisturiser and I didn't put it over my thick night cream, so when I woke up my skin actually felt a little dry.  I'd maybe try again, but making sure to use my proper night cream first.
    • Sample of Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream: I love this.  I actually have a full size one in use, so I know I like this!  It's more like a gel-cream than a cream cream and it's lovely and soothing- has ceramide, chamomile, centella, peptides, glycerin etc- it feels very nice on the skin.  I use it at night before night cream, and in the morning it's light enough to use before sunscreen.
    • Sample of Garnier Ultimate Blends Body Restoring Lotion- Honey Treasures: honey treasures, what a terrible name , but lovely product!  Has royal jelly, propolis and honey.  Smelt really nice, and not too strong/sickly.

Couple of UU from the M&S advent:
Emma Hardie Moringa cleansing balm - WNBA nice enough but I like other products better
This works stress check roll on - WBA

also used a botanicals shampoo sample
    Total UU’s for Feb = 7

also threw away a rimmel foundation which was an emergency buy about 3 years ago when I forgot my foundation on holiday, this was the best I could find at the time but never the best colour match!
Entering a few comps here and there 2020 seems my best year for wins so far:- iphone xs, limited edition whiskey, Masha and the Bear toys, newborn baby stuff, 3 x books, 12 months membership to diet app, bottle of syrup, Baby Shark singing puppet, children’s book, Nasty vegan shake x 2 packs.

My updated  PP List for February

ABC Body lotion (actually on the last bottle of this so hopefully it will last the month)
L’Occitane hand lotion (on desk at work)
    Rituals handcream (carried over)
    Skinsense Day Cream
Skinsense Overnight Leave on mask (carried over- tube is very light).
Yorkshire Soap Company Happy Hebden Bare soap (carried over).

Maybe just maybe the day cream and Overnight mask will be done by the end of the month.

  • Turns out I was wrong and I did use up some more stuff in Feb! 🤣 DH was out last night so I did some face masks and watched The Gilded Age (so good!)

    UU
    * TBS Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask: might buy again, it's very fresh feeling.
    * Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet mask- Super Hydrating and Soothing: Probs WBA, all these moisture bomb masks are quite nice. Who knows if they do anything,  but it feels pampering so that's most of the point of them I think! 🤣

    Feb tallies
18 used ups (quite a few were samples this month tho)
    6 ins.
    Balance: 12 items gone 😁

Spend- dont have the total cos that's at home and I'm at work rn, but it was approx £40. I got my Jan total wrong as I counted the hair growth serum and shampoo/cond in the wrong category, so Jan spend was also about £40. Not amazing, but SO much better than the amount I was spending!!

Great progress. I looked up the program you mentioned too but we don’t have Sky. Thinking of starting to watch Vikings later.
