No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries February 2022

UU - Beauty Pie SPF 25. HG so will repurchase.ally.4
-
Just sold a perfume on ebay, will have earnt £14.26 after costs and charity.
Then I bought some new The Ordinary serum on ebay (because I've run out and my spots are rapidly multiplying, so it is necessary), and saved £4.39 on cost and delivery than if I'd bought it new from The Ordinary itself.5 -
UU
- The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow-Protect lotion SPF 30: was on my PP list, am glad it's finished- I was using it as a body moisturiser in the end, as it's a bit too thick/greasy for my combo skin really- made my face quite shine- and shine is not a glow! Plus I wasn't sure if the vit C was irritating my skin, so this has been sat on my shelf a while doing nothing. Wouldn't buy again I don't think, applaud the SPF30 tho.
- Free sample (mini spray jar, not sachet)- Paco Rabanne Invictus: quite possibly meant for men, not sure, I still used it round the house
INS
May have ordered a few bits over the weekend..... but I used my Boots points and money from selling a few leggings to purchase these, so no actual money was spent...well, the leggings money, but I think of that as bonus money and not real moneyThese haven't arrived yet, should get here this week.
- The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil: excited to add an oil back into my routine, I used to use them all the time (hence the ancient ones I had to bin) and then stopped for some unknown reason, so returning to it. Heard rosehip is good for healing, collagen boosting, antioxidant fighting, so hope this one works for me
- Mad About Skin set- Gentle Jelly Cleanser (as my Aveeno is soon to be finished), Got You Covered Super Serum (azelaic acid to even skin tone and texture, peptides to tackle the first signs of ageing, antioxidants, panthenol to calm/soothe, Vit C to brighten and protect- am excited to try this all-rounder), and Maximum Impact Moisturiser (soothing, has ceramides and some hydrating oils in- plan to use for night cream)

Clutterbug07 said:VALM said:UU OPI Arose at dawn broke by noon mini lacquer. I’ve been working my way through these and have my original stash down to six bottles. I do have apt least 25 more from the advent calendar. This was a nice colour but not a wow colour so WNBA. I pulled another one from the original stash which is a bright orange colour and may prove to be too bright for this time of year.
I do usually relegate certain colours to my toes. I am wearing the orange now but just as a base coat with a burnt orange/pumpkin colour on top. The mini bottles take me about 3 months to finish but I do rotate them in with other colours so could realistically finish it quicker.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've used this oil previously and got good results but did not get on with the smell of it. It's worth a try, for the price though.More UUs over the weekend:-Patchology eye masks. I put sheet masks in my PP list however did not appreciate that I had used up all the full face masks so have just eye and lip masks left. Wil try to use these on a weekly basis. The Patchology ones felt nice and were not drenched in serum which is good.Bath bombs that I bought from Etsy. These were smaller sized chunks. Put them all in my bath yesterday. These were nice but not as nourishing as her full sized bombs.Christophe Robin hair mask. This came in a prescription box. It was nice. I just find things like this a bit of a faff. I do seem to have an abundance of haircare items though so will pull another out of my stash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. uuElemis Temple Balm - I've had this for a very long time, I use it when I have headache if I remember, it is nice and cooling but WNBA just based on the price really.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Two UUs today
- Aveeno Face Calm and Restore Cleanser: used this as my second cleanse. I'm not sure on this one, it doesn't foam at all and is soooo gentle, it's just like a jelly-type liquid that you massage your face with and wonder what it is doing.....does it do anything? Not sure
It does remove the remains of the Inkey List Oat balm that water can't wash off, so I guess it must do a little something!
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel moisturiser: yeah, this is nice, refreshing, bit plumping, has a pleasant fresh smell. Would rebuy, though have two other face moisturisers (at least!) to work through first. Next to try is ENature Squeeze Green Watery Gel Cream which weirdly has lots of oils in for a gel-type cream, so perhaps more moisturising and skin barrier benefits.
@VALM yes the smell of some oils can be a bit much can't it! I once tried carrot oil- hahaha omg I had to immediately wash it off my face- it stank!!Jan Grocery Challenge 2023: £181.18/£400

I've fallen out of love with Elemis. Can find better cheaper alternatives. If a catch a show on QVC I now feel overwhelmed because they sell so much stuff.

Another UU and a TA:UU Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. Replaced from stash. I use this as my second cleanse in the evening following TBS Chamomile Cleansing Butter.TA Tin of the above mentioned Cleansing Butter. I didn't have much left but got the lid so firmly jammed that nobody in the family could open it. Less speed, more haste!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
