Santander £140

I was under the impression from the program that existing Santander customers can get the payment if they move into a Santander 123 account. After calling Santander today this is NOT the case .Santander said if I already have a Santander acc and I had another account with a different bank then I would be eligible. Total farce… my salary gets paid into one account, a non interest Santander account.

Don't seek detailed product terms from a TV programme that spends a few seconds giving highly summarised bullet points then!Kev11 said:I was under the impression from the program that existing Santander customers can get the payment if they move into a Santander 123 account. The fact remains that existing Santander account holders can benefit from the offer, but only by switching in a non-Santander account to the existing Santander one, which is what Santander have correctly told you and which is what's shown even in the brief MSE summary at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/#switch (but the definitive source will always be the provider's own website):Who can get the bonus? This must be your first switch bonus from Santander, and you can't switch an account from Santander, Cahoot or Cater Allen. So, not a "total farce" at all, or anything remotely resembling one!
P.S. This offer, like others, is typically discussed on the banking board rather than the savings one....

Clearly says it must be a current account you hold elsewhere.
