Virgin media question on change of account holder

Hi
Can anyone advise if this is correct. If I want to change account holder with virgin media basically I want to change account to my name and also in turn get a better deal, will there be a service disruption. When I last spoke to them over 18 months ago I was told I would have to undergo credit check etc and would be without service for probably at least 2 weeks !

Thanks

They were talking nonsense about being without service for 2 weeks - a day at most. Yes the new customer would have a credit check as it is a new contract.

If you are changing the account holder, the account holder needs to call/WhatsApp and get through to cancellations to cancel (30 days notice).

The new person can sign up with a new customer deal (and cashback from Quidco/ TopCashback) and arrange for the new contract to start the day after the old one ends. Once the order is all confirmed, it is possible to change the delivery/install date to earlier so there is cross over (no loss of service).
