That doesn't really mean anything, though. There are multiple grades of chicken; just because they are packed in the same facility doesn't mean they are the same meat. In much the same way that not all the meals you cook are identical just because they come out of the same kitchen.8 -

I read all the posts as they are helpful to me and thought I would share my shock about this item. The one with 30 in was only bought a couple of months ago and the 20 one was bought the other day - both the same price. I try hard to not use bags but for fridge things sometimes are needed. Also noted on 20 box no recyclable logo.9

(But they do need to empty the bin- in our Aldi this morning it was overflowing! which proves some folk are recycling!)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Does anyone know what Yorkshire slab cake tastes like? They were selling them off in Morrisons for 8p so I grabbed a couple. Before I open them, I was wondering how they go with custard or something like that? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.7 -

Thanks. Yellow sticker label said slab cake, but when I pull that off it says parkin underneath. Which I have to be honest I am equally clueless about. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Parkin is a ginger cake made with oats. I regularly make it. It can be eaten as cake, but should be fine with custard.9

Ah, parkin, one of my favourites. If it's yellow stickered it might be a bit on the dry side but, as per Skintoap's suggestion, it will be fine with custard. It tends to be a Yorkshire thing, usually baked for Bonfire Night - but we like it all year round!
I'm wondering if "slab cake" might refer to the fact it's baked in a square tin rather than a round one or sometimes a loaf tin? Whatever, 8p is a good bargain.

bet whichever it is would taste great if 'fed' with a drip or two of something alchofrolic before the custard (or cream!)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
