I thought I'd do a freezer stocktake this morning to help with my shopping list, and ended up doing a full stocktake of absolutely everything in the cupboards and fridge as well. It has been very useful though - I thought I was down to nothing, but turns out I have loads - just not the stuff I use regularly.
Reading the above posts has just just reminded me I need to do a towel wash, so I'll do it after this and then out on the line to dry. Since I'm still not dressed 😳 I'll do a sink wash so I can get all the towels done.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Sounds a bit like me - I have lists for the freezer, pantry and cupboards that are very useful for meal planning, not to mention as a prompt for stuff that needs to be used up before buying more. I think I've just about used things that were approaching or had gone past their BB dates! It's surprising what you can come across at the back of shelves.Elisheba said:I thought I'd do a freezer stocktake this morning to help with my shopping list, and ended up doing a full stocktake of absolutely everything in the cupboards and fridge as well. Update: Water went off altogether, briefly, but is now back on although not at full pressure yet. Water company website says they're still working on it.Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Water is now back on but still not at its normal full pressure. There's nothing showing on the website either so presumably it's fixed - still, at least we have water!
Have done a bit of decluttering (getting a bit bored with it now though) and have devised a meal plan for next week. The weather here was sunny earlier but the sun is playing hide & seek now so I think I'll just get on with some knitting - well, sewing up (not my favourite job but needs must).Be kind to others and to yourself too.5 -
I was at my youngest DDs yesterday for dinner , and as I had been and had my fifth Covid jab my arm wasn't cooperating very well so I asked her if she would wash my hair for me.She said sure no problem So I leaned over her bath and she turned tha shower tap on , !! blimey her pressure is a lot stronger than mine so I think I may need a new shower head on my shower.YorksLass said:Water is now back on but still not at its normal full pressure. Her's was like a jet coming out ,and mine is OK but no where near as fast as hers though ,so thats the next thing on my to-do list of things to get. I think I will have to have a search through my local B&Q next time I'm near there.

Jackie, depending on what water company you are, some of them give out free ones, I got one from Thames water, a water saving one, it does the job...

my thought would be, if you are in a hard water area, is the shower head blocked with limescale? Might be worth sitting it in a jug of white vinegar/ citric acid overnight.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I did my shower head with vinegar as I live in a hard water area - so easy - left it overnight with a plastic bag tied onto it. Then I just gave it a scrub with an old toothbrush - like new.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

The little interdental tooth brushes, the smallest size you can get, are good for getting inside the little holes of the shower head. You can get cheap ones in Home Bargains

We were in a budget hotel once in India and the shower flow was very feeble.
I sat on the balcony with a needle and poked all the limescale out of the shower head.
When we put it back on, the force of water nearly knocked me over.11
