But I am a greedy so and so and can easily have a pint of soup no problem. I don't tend to have anyting else with it though, maybe a piece of bread and buter or a buttered roll..I like a nice veg soup, especially with bits of rice..or a chicken, mushroom and sage one..or a pea and ham...or a ...you get the idea. my last favourite one was pasta and fagioli, I was eating that every day for a week..But I do tend to find one food thing and eat it all the time. I did the ww diet this year for a while and my favourite breakfast was a cottage cheese omlette. I must have had that every day for at least five months.

Windows, extractor fan, candles: nothing budges the smell, but also I am super sensitive to odours. Now the house smells of soup and the pineapple candle I burned yesterday!
Do you really mean you got 10 portions out of 600ml?
Did you eat all 10 in one day?
10x boxes surely?
Ort am I totally confused?4 -

I have a small grocery delivery coming on Thursday, mainly fresh stuff (cupboards well stocked) and I'll be refining it the day before. If anything's out of stock I can get it from the Co-op on Friday. Xmas dinner is just the two of us this year so it will be a normal Sunday roast with one or two extras.
This week's meals are all from what I already have in and at last I have some room in the freezer. The fridge is looking a bit bare too. I've used the last of the carrots, some for soup and the rest for a carrot cake that's cooling and smells delicious. I don't normally add the frosted topping but will this time as there's an opened tub of cream cheese that needs using. That's tomorrow's job, along with making sausage rolls. And probably a batch of fruit scones to use up the last of the yogurt. It seems to be all "use ups" this week.
Heating not needed today - I'm dreading taking meter readings tomorrow. I can't believe how mild it is outside after all the frost we've had but at least we did escape the snow. Roll on Spring.Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
I had my December G & E bill through from Shell Energy today and because I have been more watchful of what I was using for both it was down on last year, and for the month was only £71.00 odd which I was pleased about, but then its only in the last week its been really nippy.
Keeping a strict eye on the useage seems to be working for me and cutting back on unnecessary usage has helped no end Only the wall light behind my chair instead of the main middle light which has 5 bulbs on and I changed my kettle to a 1 litre one instead of the larger one .lots of different ways to cut it down a little has ok not mde a huge difference but its a tenner more in my account than theirs whish is very handy
Trimming bits off here and there may not sound much, but again if it all adds up to lower bills its got to be good

I texted husband at the end of the working day, saying I was coming home via the supermarket for bread and youghurt. He replied that he was at Aldi's for that evening's dinner, so I asked him to add bread and yoghurt. Then, when I came home, I realised he had gone to 2 supermarkets, and bought every single item in the most expensive one (from both, yoghurt and bread are not as nice in Aldi, yoghurt is even more expensive at Aldi than at Delhaize, etc). Nothing bought from the shopping list on the kitchen blackboard, lots of fresh stuff bought, which we will have to work at to finish before we go to my parents' on Boxing Day for a week.I'm feeling the pinch, but husband doesn't seem to!To be fair, the difference in price for items he bought and what I would have bought is around €5, so we can afford it. I'm just really annoyed that my consistent paying attention is ignored. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5910
