little money:
You might want to keep the ingredients for Dr. Kellogg’s Magic Elixir (really it is called Rehydration Fluid) for when someone can’t keep any food down and is getting dehydrated:
· 1 quart of water
· ½ teaspoon salt
· 2 tablespoons white corn syrup such as Karo® syrup
Mix when needed. Add equal parts Seven-Up® - the kind with sugar, not the diet version. Start the patient with a tablespoon of the mixture and a tablespoon of Seven-Up®. Then increase the amounts as the patient can tolerate it. Keep refrigerated until used. When the patient no longer needs it, get rid of it. (Dr. Kellogg was the doctor who prescribed it for my sister when she was ill, and we named it after him.) This is from Time to Be Prepared: Emergency Preparedness on a Shoestring (my book)

The doctor asked if I had any rehydration sachets or imodium. I didn't. He prescribed them and an antisickness pill. The only problem them was finding someone to collect it. I was so bad he offered to refer me to A and E. I declined with the option change my mind if I got worse."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "4

Youtube is actually quite a good place for free to learn something new. I've used it for learning quite technical stuff over the years, normally after baulking at the cost of something to get someone else to do this. Specifically thinking coding and other technical things that it's good to know.💙💛 💔6 -
But the bullet and defrosted the chest freezer today. After a good sort out and restock of the fridge freezer, a big trip to the compost bin with some very old courgettes and beans (3years is too old for my liking on frozen veg), there was just one cool box full of bread that I couldn’t accommodate. It will stay safe in the cool box until needed over the next few days and I’m hoping to keep the freezer turned off for as long as possible (it was defrosted, wiped out and wedged open this afternoon, stored in the garage). We worked out it costs £82 a year to run so needs to be worth the effort of turning it back on.7

Hi guys
As there’s only two of us we only have the fridge freezer now. I keep my freezer full but not too much expensive stuff, only having one trays worth of meat and fish, with the rest bread, frozen veg, tubs of leftovers etc. That way in case of power cut the unspoiled meat etc will be eaten up first.

We go through a lot of handwash as we have three pets. I usually buy Simple handwash and you can get 250ml for £1. My husband went into a £1 shop and he found 500ml of Simple shower gel for £1. I'm making the swap over!:)2025 GOALS

Technical as you say it’s useful but if I’m cooking or baking something new I find it’s useful for that too.:money::rotfl::T4
