@Spendless'I want a Love Island one'. I’m sure I’ve seen copies of these online? They are a basic white bottle with gold name on, many sellers do the gold name stickers too , to stick on yourself. Hope it helpsFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.3

I'm going to give some of these suggestions a go though3 -
Just back from holidays and jumping in to the water bottle chat 😅
The children use the small sistema screw tops - think they are about 350ml. Tiny but perfect for littlies (mine are 6 and 3) and they don’t leak - DS takes his in his school bag. But I do find the screw bit difficult to clean fully and I end up replacing them every so often. They are very cheap though, I usually find you can get them in multipacks working out as £2-2.50 each bottle (I’ve bought them from Lidl, Tesco and Amazon before). You can get them in bigger sizes for adults but I don’t love them for myself 🙈https://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Sparrow-Sports-Water-Bottle/dp/B073YQ5KSX/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?c=ts&keywords=Canteens%2B%26%2BWater%2BBottles&qid=1656760451&refinements=p_89%3ASuper%2BSparrow&s=camping-hiking&sr=1-4&ts_id=3076577031&th=1&psc=1I like this kind of bottle 👆🏼 (Super Sparrow) because the lid has a flip lock and if you remember to do that, it won’t leak at all. They aren’t the cheapest reusable bottle but I’ve had a couple (because I’ve lost previous ones) and they work so well and are really sturdy and just feel pleasant to hold/use. Also weirdly make the water taste nicer than other bottles. Whenever I’ve bought cheaper ones I’ve regretted it.I prefer the 500ml size as it fits in my bag but I’ve had a litre one before which I just used at home and at my desk. The kids have also had 350ml versions. Because the kids tend to forget to lock them we have had a couple of leaks though, plus they lose them fairly frequently so I prefer to get them the cheaper Sistema ones instead.I have also owned a nice metal bottle before, which was great, but disappointing when I lost it as it was so expensive 🙈Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I've got a nice metal reusable bottle I treated myself to (£28 oops!), which I have stuck a label on with my name and address on. Periodically need to put a new label on when the current one gets grotty, but I'd hope that if I do lose it somewhere, somebody might be good enough to make the effort to return it to me.ETA on a similar tack, I have a stickly label attached to the back of my phone inside the case with my husband's phone number on it, and vice versa. If we make it easy, we may get our stuff back.Make £2025 in 2025

Hi chums just to say I went to Home Bargains with my DD at lunchtime while we are on holiday and bought a double walled stainless steel water bottle for £4.99. It made by Spear and Jackson so a reputable make.
Just off to sit on the beach at Yaverland and Son-inLaw and Dd will walk the dogs while I read my book. The weather is gorgeous sunny with just a light breeze to keep you from getting too hot and sticky . I also got some very pretty lilac wool for my yard stash at 99p a 100 gm ball of double knit

Just been catching up on the thread. On the water bottle front I have a couple different ones depending on what I'm doing. When out and about I use a Sistema one which is 500ml, never had problems with it leaking. If I'm out walking (before the dodgy knee) I have a Klean Kanteen which keeps my water cool, again, it's never leaked. I also have a generic aluminium water bottle which is handy for the lighter weight and keeps water cooler than the Sistema. No idea where it was from as it was a present. I don't think I've ever had a leaky bottle.Money wise I've been doing the half yearly accounts and I'm surprised that we are well within budget food wise. I think a combination of choosing cheaper meat options and having the time to occasionally go and get cheaper bits at the market has definitely helped. The only month that was more expensive was June as I got hit with Covid and then just after I got over that I had a tooth abscess and so we ended up doing a couple of online shops which pushed the budget a bit (needed some soft foods).Today I picked up 1kg of grapes for £1, 10 bananas for £1, and 1kg of cherry tomatoes for £1 as I had an appointment to go to which was close by to the local market. I also picked up a fresh white bloomer for £1.49 which is very tasty. I'm hoping I can keep us in budget as our money is being squeezed constantly as we're just on one income at present so any savings I make will be very useful.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £36511

It's double walled, but is this. Not sure who manufactured it, but I have seen very similar designs in Tesco etc.

Hello all
popping my head in here again first time since April. It’s been a busy few weeks with work, sorting paperwork for my daughters school etc etc
I’ve started keeping receipts again, I know prices are going up but I want to track them better. That will be a winter task once my employer has closed for the season. One thing I’ve seen the biggest increase is my husband and daughters breakfast cakes. They are a bit like fairy cakes and popular here in Spain. They used to be 65c in November/December. I noticed the price yesterday….€1.45!!! More than 100% price increase.I’ve finally got an air fryer. I’ve been eyeing them up for months. Choice is limited here compared to the UK but Aldi had a 5lr one for €79.99 which is a great price. I sent my husband up for 9am the day it went on offer to get one. Definitely an investment and saver of time and money. It did a whole chicken in an hour. This is halving my cooking time as our oven is not very good. Same with jacket spuds, in fact anything I’ve used it’s halving the oven/cooking time:money::rotfl::T10 -
Well, I've heard it all now. My sister phoned me and told me about her granddaughter who is 14 and having "cooking" lessons at school They are not allowed to use the oven because ovens get hot (really?) and can be dangerous. They are having lessons on how to use a knife because as we all know, 14 year olds don't know how to use a knife. Also if they are rolling out their pre made, bought pastry, any left overs get binned! Then there's tin openers. They have to be supervised because they may cut themselves on the tin. My niece is not a happy mum. She has made an appointment to see the teacher, who will no doubt need treatment for earache. She told my great niece, "Your great grandmother (ie my mum) would turn cartwheels in her grave!) Too true. Fancy teaching kids to be wasteful! Why not teach them to use equipment safely? Health and safety gone mad. 🤷🏼♀️😱🤦♀️

Tin openers, really?! My 6yo son can open tins, ok I don’t let him use the oven yet but he can heat up beans and porridge in the microwave himself and happily makes breakfast for himself and his younger sister… by 14 I’m hoping he can cook full meals properly!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
